IDK about anyone else but I didnt like the way Bortles threw the short passes. He was throwing floaters. Some passes he threw Saturday are picked off in this league. I hope he improves on that and his footwork.

We are not pretending to be peachy but having optimism is ok. No one on here is saying Blake is a HOFer... Most of us are simply saying that we like the pick and are HOPING it turns into a great pick.

I think Bortles would have gone to Cleveland at 4 actually.

 

If for some crazy chance that they didn't draft him, the very next pick (Oakland) would have drafted Bortles.  All those teams needed QBs.

 

We did the right thing staying put.

 I agree, they traded back immediately after we took him (Bortles) - that's a strong indicator that their guy was off the board.

He just seems slow in a lot of the interviews I've seen him in, I'm not really saying he's stupid but perhaps not as quick witted as you'd want a QB to be.

Don't confuse quick witted, snappy response, fast comeback with someone that actually thinks before answering.

There is a big difference between the "Rock Star, it's all about me type answer" and some more grounded in their remarks.

 

I understand your not happy with the selection, but it is what it is and we move forward.

Every little perceived flaw called into attention is a natural response, but it is time to move ahead.

For those that don't know Blake's g/f is Lindsey Duke, they have been dating since h/s, so he is smart enough to find one that isn't a gold digger and hot.  A quick google search hit count has Lindsey in a comfortable lead at 19.8 million over Blake's 8.2 million results.....
