Just looked at the stadium stream panorama view and saw that the south end zone was getting boom arms installed for a potentially larger screen?! Hmmmm............  Are we going to have the two largest screens in the NFL???

Also, while not part of the construction project, I see they’ve marked the field for Saturday’s game and they’ve started to do some of the patriotic stadium decorating (northeast tunnel).

It has become evident that the towers on top of the boards are for hanging the speakers on. One is up in the north end zone.

There is a game taking place this Saturday, USA vs Nigeria, World Cup tune up game or something like that. I do know that they have sold 40k plus tickets and because the Jags partnered with SMG as co-sponsor of the event it turns into local revenue for the Jags because they took the financial risk to bring the game here. Another example of the brilliance of Mr. Mark Lamping and his ability to generate local revenue aside from season ticket holders.

I listened to his interview - very interesting guy. He said the side boards will be working but the big main boards wont be ready until mid-July if I remember right?

They're trying to be as creative as they possibly can be in order to avoid having to hammer the local fans with massive ticket price increases. 

 

Being down at the stadium yesterday, it is amazing how much progress they've made from the rookie mini-camp to the OTAs with the construction.  The SEZ board is fully backed, and they're making great progress on the displays.  The NEZ board is now fully erected, and they're starting to fill in the blanks there as well.  Hopefully the thing isn't being put up with rubber bands and bubble gum!
