It's Time To Stop Blaming Gabbert

Come on, is that even relevant? Those facts don't matter to someone like chief. Chief mad, he not happy. Angry chief can't think clearly and only sees red.

So..are the 6 pro bowlers the reason they're off to a 5-0 start? They were also responsible for a 2-11 finish. The Jags had a few players they let go, one way or another, that could have at least been somewhat competitive. Khan took a chance on everything new, while the Chiefs went for NFL experience..coach and QB. The Chiefs had a foundation, true, but either way, the results speak for themselves.

How many teams that had pro bowlers last year are sucking this year. How many that had none or just a couple are winning.

Houston had 9, maybe 10 pro bowlers last year? Giants around 4 Washington 5...Vikings had 7....How are they rolling this year?

The people that want the Jags to win a few meaningless regular season games are merely fans of the AFC South teams that are scared and hoping that we don't get Bridgewater.

I don't think so.  As a fan, I cannot wish for us to lose while watching the game.  I'm not going to cheer against my team when they are playing.  And my cheering won't affect the outcome anyways.

Just as I cannot root for the gators even though the gators being ranked higher is better for FSU if we win.  Logically I understand, but it just isn't in me.

Nobody here is claiming that you are actually cheering for the other teams to win.

I still cheer for the Jags, still jump up with excitement if we get a TD or sack, but overall, I understand that losing the game is not that bad for us in the long run.

They brought in a proven WINNER as their HC in Andy Reid. Alex Smith is just a game manager.....We went another route, but after not even half a season... People want instant results... Fire Bradley, Caldwell, Fisch... Give these guys time, I believe we'll like the results, once they get their guys in place.

This team has been decimated by the bad drafting of Gene Smith over the past 4...We're starting a QB that clearly should'nt be on an NFL roster..... This season is just like a 16 game preseason to me, Once we get our FRANCHISE QB everything else will fall into place.
We doing it BIG....Florida State bringing that SWAG back in 2013!!!!

You obviously have no clue about the Chiefs. Their defense and special teams have scored most of their points. Smith didn't have a TD pass in their win over the Titans. Smith just manages and the rest of the team wins. Geez tired of these clueless posters.

Quote:I think all these blowout losses over the past 2 years has erroded the logic in a lot of people.  We can be competitive, we can get better THIS year and still be in a position to draft a franchise QB in 2014.  I don't know why everyone wants to continue to watch this team implode both on Sundays and by trading good players for 3rd day draft picks.

I want one of the best QB prospects of the last decade. Not some leftover gamble QB like Mariota or Hundley.

If Bradley goes 0-16 this year, he could & should be gone.

Hey TMD --

If the Jags win a game, how are you going to react? Because you've already said Gus should be fired if they go 0-16, but why do I imagine you freaking out if the team wins a "meaningless" game?

It's called straddling the fence. Some people are good at it. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

OH BS! I'm a fan who spends on tickets and concessions every home game and I want to see them win. People like you don't care because you have nothing invested in the team. On Sundays you're sitting on your sofa with your beverage watching us stink up the joint while myself and 60,000 other people are actually buying the tickets which pays the salaries. It's no fun walking back to the car after another disgusting loss.

We can now move on to blaming Gabbert's parents

Gabbert is objectively one of the worst starting QBs in the history of the NFL. He and Gene Smith both take a share in putting the team where it is today.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

...the Gabbert pick has proved to be right up there with the Soward pick....nothing short of a disaster....Henne couldn't even beat out Byron Leftwich in Miami...so, who would even think he could have sucess here?.....our options suck.....do I think the team should have worked or still be working on getting a fill-in QB for the interem period...while they find a franchise QB?...yes...they owe that much to the fans....being humuliated time and time again at home will drive folks away.....and that's not very smart.....
