Robert Mathis suspended

Quote:This isn't a normal infertility drug for men. It is designed for women. In men it treats infertility caused by taking steroids. You do realize he has 2 little twins, which they had to go the in-vitro route, right? So you're telling me he's been taking steroids for about 3-4 years and they haven't caught it yet? Yeah, OK. It is designed for women, but many men take it for the same reason Robert did. Quote:while I believe what he says may be true at the end of the day these players gotta know what they are putting in there bodies. that sucks if his doctor misinformed him but as he said himself he should have checked with the NFL. So you're telling me he's been taking steroids for about 3-4 years and they haven't caught it yet? Yeah, OK.Yeah men take it to recover from taking steroids just like Mathis. He couldn't have kids because his hormones were out of wack from taking steroids. If steroids showed up in his system as long as this stuff does, he would have tested positive for that also. Don't be so naive. Dude is a juice head. Get over it. Dude is in the drug program now. He won't get a test free off season to do his cycles anymore. Like Merriman, it's all downhill from here.

all signs point to a long history of steroid usage. Probably why he had a difficult time conceiving originally. If I had a guess, we will see a huge decline this season in his play. Huge decline.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
Quote:all signs point to a long history of steroid usage. Probably why he had a difficult time conceiving originally. Lollllll You do realize it's possible to just have difficulty conceiving, right? I didn't realize this entire forum was full of doctors. Either that or they have a time machine & are closely related to Mathis. ![]() ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:Lollllll And you do realize it's possible that football players take steroids, right? You're acting like you KNOW everything about Mathis' infertility...just like the rest of doctors on here know about steroids!
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???
Quote:And you do realize it's possible that football players take steroids, right? Right, I'm acting like I know everything. With comments coming from others saying "This guy is a juice head" "reason they couldn't conceive is he's been taking steroids his whole life" "guy will be terrible next year"... Right. I'm acting like I know everything. This forum has a serious case of herd mentality.

Quote: So you're telling me he's been taking steroids for about 3-4 years and they haven't caught it yet? Yeah, OK. I don't know if he was using for years, but it looks like he did last year. Besides, they use it in cycles. They don't use it 365 days a year. Most likely, they re-up when the season ends and the NFL isn't as likely or capable in testing everyone. People have been roiding in the NFL for a very long time. I'd imagine that most people get away with it.
Mathis said he took the clomid for 10 days only and stopped when his wife got pregnant. I'm not a doctor, and I've never played one on tv...but I am a woman that's been pregnant so I've got that going for me, which is nice. So I do know how the whole getting pregnant thing works...
Unless clomid works INSTANTLY on sperm count (and it doesn't) there isn't enough time for him to have only been on it for 10 days for her to even have enough pregnancy hormone in her body to even know she was pregnant!! You don't get up the "morning after" and start taking pregnancy tests. The math just doesn't add up when you listen to the story he's telling.

Quote:I don't know if he was using for years, but it looks like he did last year.I read an article that says they don't randomly test during parts of the year and players know this and can plan their cycles accordingly. That's why it is so rare that guys get caught using roids. Once you get caught using a banned substance then there is a mandatory amount of random testing they have to do year around. He will be tested too often to cycle anymore. His ability will start to fade like Merriman's. I'm sure he knew using this drug to get his fertility back would probably be the end of the line for him football wise, but I'm also sure he felt the time had come to start worrying about the next stage in his life which is raising a family. Quote:Right, I'm acting like I know everything. so it was too tough for you to hit the quote button and have my actual quotes that are speculative instead of the ones that you created as if i was saying it was fact? i know colts fans arent the brightest but in order for something to have quotation marks it needs to be an exact quote. thats kind of where those little pieces of punctuation got their name from. like ifi i say: colts fans are morons. you could say.... i dont like that guy because he said "colts fans are morons." but you cant say, i dont like that guy because he said "colts fans are idiots who make up quotes to try and defend their steroid juicing players." see what i mean?

Where have I said I believe everything he's said? You guys love making up things, it's kind of a talent. This forum loves to talk about things they know nothing about.

Quote:You do realize he has 2 little twins, which they had to go the in-vitro route, right? So you're telling me he's been taking steroids for about 3-4 years and they haven't caught it yet? Yeah, OK. Many men? Do you have stats to back this up? It's approved only for women. Can men take it, sure. If that was the case though, he knew the process he would have to go through to get it ok'd. My guess is, there was a reason he didn't say a word. I did some reading up on it and its actually pretty interesting considering I had surgery and my pituitary is gone. The very basics are that taking this drug actually increases testosterone. The doctor told him that....what football player that knows the drug testing rules wouldnt automatically say ding, I need approval for this!? We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote: You're 100% correct he should have got it approved, I've said this already about 3 times in this thread (reading also must weakness around here). Quote: Am I?
WOW...
