Oh ok, it's just picking who you think will win, more or less. For the World Cup Pick Em you pick each head to head for each group phase. From there you will pick each game of the knock out stage (the teams you will pick are based on who you pick in the group stages, obviously).

Hope this helps.

Yes -- Let me in !!   I just bought the ESPN FC world cup magazine yesterday.   I know they call our braket the braket of death (US, Portugal, Germany, and Ghana) but the toughest one is Netherlands, Spain, Chile, and Australia.

It is a toss up but I do think the USA, Portugal, Germany, Ghana is the toughest pool.

Still trying to find where the stupid link is to post so y'all can join!

The knock out rounds appear to be picked after they are set. I just made my group picks and I figured I'd then pick my knockout rounds based on my group picks. Nope.

I'm in

our group sucks... unfortunately i dont think USA stands a chance.

i think germany will take it all... they are so powerful all around and they have a strong defense and i think ESP and brazil are both overrated.... the netherlands is getting old so im thinkin the door is open for germany... i always think portugal will go far with ronaldo but they seem to come up short... lookin forward to the US vs Ger game, think it will be true gauge for where the USNMT is under kilnsmen

i want belgum to go far cause they have some of my favorite players in lukaku and hazard... should be fun WC but cant see anyway we get out of the group stage.

Spain too is getting long in the tooth. I think they have one more good run. If I had to pick right now, they'd be who I take to win it all.

no doubt they are good great... xavi, xabi alanso, puyol(even though he really old), pique not to mention a bench that could competein just about every group in the WC... but i dont think they have much for an attack, torres and solado are the only two who come to mind and i think germany can shut em down...  i would love to see germany and spain in the final... that would be a hell of a final.

I love Team USA, but realistically its going to be tough getting out of the group stage. Germany and Portugal? Crap... And then there is freaking Ghana that has defeated USA in the last two World Cups.  :pinch:

Also, I'm in. I've never done pick-em for the World Cup before. Having to predict the score for each game will be a little tricky. Should be fun.

lol i just had to redo my picks... this made things alot more interesting... i thought you were just picking winners and draws... i think we are gonna see alot 3-1's and 1-1/2-2 draws... i dont think i have any 0-0 draws which i should probably do but damn this made everything a little more difficult.

and yeah it really sucks we landed in the group of death... i honestly see a draw and two losses coming outta this WC for us... especially after how flat our D looked against turkey... hoping that omar gonzalez kid has his stuff together, he's about to get a face full of some of the best talent on the planet... i was thinking about it, our team probably has a combined salery of 20 mil or so tops in terms of club value on the roster, while Germany Portugal Spain and Brazil probably have somewhere between 250 to half a billion dollars worth of talent on there roster... if we do come away with more that 3 points from the group stage im going to be thrilled.

watch the man city vs wigan FA cup game last year, that is my only hope lol..classic example of a 500 mil dollar team facing a team with less than 1/10 of their value.. true david and goliath story.. but thats beauty of soccer, crazy stuff like that can happen... if we can play like wigan did against city, we got a shot lol.

The defense still scares me. Still haven't figured out who the starting back line will be.
