LOL people still hating on Shack Harris when at least he had winning seasons and we went to the playoffs... these are the same guys who called Gene a genius.

I am a fan, not a cheerleader.

Elevating Gene Smith's role in 2008 and then giving him full control in 2009 was a big part of it. The Jags haven't has a winning season since 2007.

Since Khan took over the Jags have been the worst team in the NFL, so he gets a fair amount of credit.

My response to this is, does it matter who starts? Blaine, Chad, Rumplestilzkin? Either way, we're stuck and lost for the year. He said this because they made the decision to start Blaine and they have to stick with their decision. All in all, he's better than Chad and Stanzi, and that ain't saying much.... We are heading in the right direction; much better GM and much better HC. Now DC and OC are review in progress still; i.e jury is still out. If Blaine were healthy, I'd keep starting him too (better change at getting #1 overall pick Tongue Tongue Tongue) lol!!!!!

Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!

I blame YouTube.  Had it not been for YouTube, Gene Smith would have had to rely on real scouting to determine his picks.

The only fault of Khan's is keeping Gene Smith, and hiring Mike Mularkey.  And in all fairness, he needed time to settle into being owner of a football team.  That Wayne Weaver didn't fire Gene Smith when he fired Joke Del Rio would signal to Khan that Gene was worth keeping.  Khan learned his lesson quickly.  That he fired Mularkey and Gene after a year with them speaks volumes to me.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Now move on to your next agenda but try to get some of your facts right the next time...
It's useless trying to reason with him i've learned.  I'm ready for that troll to get lost.

I blame the "In Gene We Trust" slogan. It was just waaay too catchy to the point that it overruled logic.

Whoever drafted that Blaine Gabbert guy. I have no idea what positives they saw when watching his college tape. I never saw anything there resembling a 1st round pick, nevermind a top 10 and potential 1st overall pick.

Vic basically crowned Gene a genius and hyped him up to omnipotent god before he ever did anything.

... and then Khan hired Caldwell. Whether or not you agree with the strategy, the current historically bad team is partly a result of Caldwell choosing to gut the team and use 2013 as a year long practice/evaluation session. The Jags were not THIS BAD last season. They were not THIS BAD in 2011.

Some people will still be blaming Gene Smith 4 years from now, but Caldwell and Gus had a draft, a full compliment of OTAs, and a training camp to improve upon the product we had last year.  So far, it doesn't look like much improvement.

I really hope Dave & Gus can turn this around, but I have serious reservations.  I'll leave it at that.

138-134 = Jaguars record under WW as owner (1995-2011 seasons)

22-42 = Jaguars record under GS as GM (2009-2012 seasons, following his drafts)

2-19 = Jaguars record under SK as owner (2012 & 2013 seasons)

0-5 = Jaguars record under DC as GM (2013 season, following his draft)
