Best local sports broadcaster?

Quote:Martineau is really, really, really good. Knowledgeable, very professional and I get the sense he's a workaholic.

I like Martineau, but there's really only room for one of them at Action News.  We'll see what he does come contract time.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I got a kick out of seeing Hicken out there toting his own camera during rookie camp.

I rarely watch the local news so I tuned into FCN the other evening and I couldn't watch it more than a few minutes. It's an over-produced bevy of divas. Just way too glossy. Don't even get me started on that phony Jeannie Blaylock. I appreciate all she does for breast cancer awareness, but I simply can't stand to listen to her. I liked the channel 4 broadcast.

Sam, is that you?

I once sat next to Phoebe Cates on a flight to LA. We chatted for about 45 minutes.

Of course what he doesn't say is she was telling him to leave her alone for 45 minutes before they finally made Sam change seats!

Agreed that it's overproduced.  Channel 4 has always been pretty consistent.  Action News just told their entire anchor staff that they won't be renewed when their contracts end in September, so all of those folks are hitting the street in a few months.  So far it sounds like the only thing they're hanging on to are the weather folks and the sports team.

I used to like Kouvaris, but he's become a real life version of Ron Burgundy in recent years.  Put a mustache on the guy, and he's a dead ringer.

Sam is a professional broadcaster, but he's a sports guy.  I think he forgets that at times as he's big timing folks around town.

The one with Muhammad Ali looks like he photo bombed the guy.

This is funny stuff here.

Completely agree.  I'm pretty sure none of them have Sam Kouvaris on their wall of celebrities on their websites.
