Best local sports broadcaster?

Quote:Dont understand the bashing of Kovauris, one of the few locals along with Hicken who can give a honest opinion about the local sports culture here in Jax. Have you ever met Sam? Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:Have you ever met Sam? Too many times. Very laid back guy, but talks about "i" (himself) too much when discussing events.
Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.
Quote:And Lopez That's right...her too! Shows how much I watch that station...lol
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???
Quote:Too many times. That's what everyone is talking about...the whole "I" thing is off putting.

He'll big time people at the drop of a hat to remind them he's Sam Kouvaris. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Dude can put away some cocktails lemme tell you. I was struggling to keep up at a Lex and Terry function years ago that he was at and the drinks were flowing. Yeah, he's got a pretty well preserved liver. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:That's right...her too! Shows how much I watch that station...lol Not to mention, Tera Barz and her husband were also told they wouldn't be renewed. ![]() Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Not to mention, Tera Barz and her husband were also told they wouldn't be renewed. Plus Julie Watkins. Nice to see her tell it like it is when it comes to the stupid naming of snow storms, and the dramatics whenever storm hit the area how N4J and the other station all pre-empt tv coverage to get ratings. http://www.juliewatkins.tv/blog/ok-its-f...-happening

Quote:Plus Julie Watkins. I didn't know anything about her, but I never thought she fit the typical mold of how a tv news personality looks and acts. Reading that blog I can see that I was totally right about her not being the normal plastic Barbie type news chick. Lol (Not saying that the Barbie types on the news are bad people!!!!)
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???
Quote:Not to mention, Tera Barz and her husband were also told they wouldn't be renewed. Someone must pay. Quote:You ride, right? This is actually after the ride, and................every hair is perfect. Don't worry Sam, I know it's hard to find, but it's still there. somewhere. HeadSlap
When they have no time, they think about it!
When they go down hard, they think about it! Just watch Peyton, Andrew, Caep even Mr. Bundchen. Quote:Plus Julie Watkins.Nice to see her talk about that. The panic mode way they report a daily thunderstorm is borderline ridiculous. We get it. It's summer. Atlantic sea breeze meets Gulf of Mexico sea breeze and storms pop up. Anyone who has been here a season or two knows the drill. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:It says something about the Jacksonville on air talent when Hacker cohosts a show. He is somewhat knowledgeable but he speaks in cliches too much and his voice is just AWFUL. I normally listen to 1010xl all day until he comes on and then I switch over to Pandora. Yeah, easily the worst on air voice of anyone who has been on air in Jax and probably a lot of other places as well. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know it's not his fault his voice sounds like that, but still, it's just hard to listen to. I've heard it said " he has a face for radio", but what does Hacker have a voice for?? Silent movies.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
Quote:No...Kouvaris REALLY likes himself too!! Wasn't the whole "Sam I am" really about one Sam K?? I know Sam K thought it was.

Quote:Dont understand the bashing of Kovauris, one of the few locals along with Hicken who can give a honest opinion about the local sports culture here in Jax.I fully agree... I've gotten to know Sam pretty well while working for years at the Players media center... Spent an hour with him driving him around in a golf cart to different venues at this past tournament... He is well respected seeing how he has a NFL Hall of Fame vote to select who gets in every year. He also brings a good perspective on how things relate to Jacksonville. I enjoy his Podcast... I've pretty much stopped watching any local sportscast. Talk about an anachronism - with the internet, ESPN, Fox Sports and tens of other sources what in the world can any of the local guys tell me that isn't old news? And they have about all of six minutes to do it. I'm waiting for the local stations to drop sports all together. Then they'll have that much time for the overkill that is local weather.
The sun's not yellow, it's chicken.
Quote:Hicken is still the best sportscaster on television.I'd have to go with Champ Kind...

I watch channel 4's newscast. Whoever is doing the sports that day or evening is who I watch.
I generally watch ESPN on mornings that I'm off but I'll turn it off as soon as Stephen A. Smith or Skip Bayless comes on. I can't stand those two.
