PBR & Twinkie king may make bid to buy Buffalo Bills. Interesting Jags connection.

This article indicates the owner of the Pabst Brewing Company made a bid in 2008 to buy the Jaguars, but failed.

He may make a push to by the Bills.

He's not alone.  The Sabres co-owners are also listed as potential buyers.

Regarding his failed attempt to buy the Jaguars, it was a rumor that Weaver denied.  Anyone think he was possibly fibbing?

Anyone else glad it ended up this way?...

Khan > Metropaulos

Had Metropaulos actually bought the team in 2008, the Jags would probably be playing elsewhere.

Or at least on the last leg.

First time I have heard him mentioned.

The rumor was always Fred Smith of FedEx made an offer to Weaver.

I remember this rumor. It actually sparked a bump in ticket sales as people started to realize there really was potential this city could lose the franchise.

It may be all for naught. The Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula just unloaded almost $2 billion worth of oil acreage in an obvious attempt to have cash in hand during the bidding process.

I believe he's expressed interest in the past. He's been sinking a ton of money into downtown Buffalo and would keep the Bills in town.

I think it could be good.

That will be more than enough to buy the team and to create ways to assure the Bills remain in Buffalo.  He'd probably be considered the most preferred option for Bills fans.

I would also expect Gov Coumo and Goodell to have some meetings and you'll see hundreds of millions of public funding for a new stadium.

This. By most standards Coumo is considered a good governor and I've even seen his name rown around for President in 2016. It would be a huge egg in his face if he allowed the team to move under his watch.
LEONARD FOURNETTE FAN CLUB PRESIDENT. I WAS BEHIND HIM WHEN YOU ALL SAID HE WAS BRANDON JACOBS. QUIT HATING ON THE JAGUARS. GUS IS GONE. COUGHLIN HAS RESTORED ORDER. FOURNETTE IS FRED TAYLOR. DONT BELIEVE ME JUST WATCH.

Losing the Bills would be the least of his troubles in a national election.
