And now things get interesting:

Quote:According to Andy Slater of WINZ radio in South Florida, Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette made the phone call to police, explaining that a “completely naked” woman refused to leave the premises.

Police then responded, and presumably that process resulted in the woman ending up in a hospital.

So much for Kaepernick's boneheaded decision that could land him in the drug program. Turns out he wasn't even there.

This is why some random person's statement won't put you in the drug program.

It could have landed him or the other players in the drug program.

The allegations that marijuana was involved could flag all of them for a random drug test.  If they failed, they're in.

The allegations, absent charges, wouldn't have triggered anything.

It's not about some random person making a statement that would cause this to happen.  It's the way the league reacts to that random statement and what transpires from there that would.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

The NFL can't random drug test a player unless they are already in the program where they will be subject to testing at the discretion of the league medical advisor.

For all the players not in the intervention stage or stage one of the program, the NFL guidelines state that all players take 1 test some time between April 20th and August 9th and only as a team wide or position wide test not on an individual basis.

Allegations will not trigger a "random" drug test because it is a violation of the drug policy under the CBA unless said player is already in violation of the NFL drug policy.
