Henne – Just the facts
|
Quote:To have earned the 9th spot on the attempts list in 2013 as Garrard did in 2009, he would have had to have thrown 584... roughly 70 more passes. Nice try, but failed yet again. Who cares which spot they earned? The absolute number of passes each of them threw in those respective years were within 3% of each other. Garrard did better passing the ball than Henne did and he was throwing to Mike Thomas and Mike Sims-Walker. At the time I thought those two were okay, but Ace Sanders is as good or better than Thomas and Shorts is definitely better than Sims-Walker. Like I said earlier, you have a strange desire to justify Henne. Are you his wife? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

You are pretty much comparing apples to oranges when talking about past TEAMS. Put Peyton Manning or Tom Brady on last season's offense and see what kind of numbers they put up. It's not JUST about the quarterback or his receivers, there are also other role players involved. Then again, it doesn't fit your agenda. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

It's not JUST about the quarterback or his receivers, there are also other role players involved. We've seen it over and over again, it's the QB that makes the team good, not the other way around. Remember the difference between the 2010 colts and 2011 colts? Sorry that reality doesn't fit the agenda.

Remember the difference between the 2010 colts and 2011 colts? What else changed about the Colts between the 2010 and 2011 seasons besides a quarterback change? Were they the same team? Again, put Peyton Manning on our team last season. Would we have had a better record? Sorry that reality doesn't fit your agenda. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

It's no coincidence that Garrard's game/career tanked as the team tanked around him. Swap Garrard for Henne and you'd get the same result in 2009/2013. Both are only as good as the team around them.

LOL... tell that to Troy Aikman. A HOF QB that couldn't be HOF caliber until he had the team to produce with. QBs do not produce in a vacuum. But then, as always, the logic is wasted with you as you don't deal in reality. Just the reality you invent for yourself.

But then, as always, the logic is wasted with you as you don't deal in reality. Just the reality you invent for yourself. I knew you a bit askew of reality, but I had no idea it was to this extent. Brady in 2000, Roethlisberger in 2004, Luck in 2012 to name a few. Guys who came into the game and suddenly the team that was only mediocre or bad with the prior guy was good enough to go to the playoffs. Of course a rookie Aikman needed a few years before he was good enough, so once again I guess you'll tell yourself I'm about some kind of agenda. Quote:I knew you a bit askew of reality, but I had no idea it was to this extent. LOL... if that agenda is being wrong, maybe. All those teams had talent on both sides of the ball, much to your chagrin. Tell me about how Alex Smith made the Chiefs while you're at it. Aikman couldn't win without the changes they brought after his rookie season. No QB would win that season. It was set up to fail with "the trade." But then, I didn't expect you to know about that, either.

It's a combination of both the QB and his supporting cast. One will not be successful w/o the other...
Seattle says hello... NH3...
"AZANE"
Because Tom Brady won a Super Bowl with so much help at WR.
Only a chump boos the home team!

I love how people pull exceptions out and state them as some sort of supporting evidence.

I had a dream Henne got hurt in the first game and Bortles came in and played well enough to get us the win but our defense let us down.. Man I miss football season and it's only June.
Quote:Because Tom Brady won a Super Bowl with so much help at WR.ironically lost the Super Bowl when he had Randy Moss. Quote:Because Tom Brady won a Super Bowl with so much help at WR. That's nice, but he hasn't won a Super Bowl in nearly a decade. The team overall, while still very VERY good, isn't quite what it used to be.

The point was a good QB typically makes those around him better whereas a great supporting cast rarely sees success if the QB is average.

You're talking about Henne being crappy, below average, average, or good and then you try to use one of the best QBs ever for comparison purposes? Pffft. You're trying to make 2+2=6. ![]()
