Once again, Strasburg proves he's NOT an ace.

Going up against a Milwaukee lineup without 3 of its best hitters today, Braun/ Lucroy/ Ramirez, this flat out stiff serves up a grand slam to light hitting Scotter friggin Gennett.

This on the heels of another sub par start last time out, and pretty much a whole season of inconsistency. This guy is a friggin joke and I'm tired of people like hailtoyourvoctor trumping stats like Strasburg's FIP when its clear that Strasburg is having a disappointing season.

And I'm tired of people claiming Victor Martinez must be on steroids. Strasburg has had 3 rough starts but until then his numbers were fine. Not so much anymore.

Martinez now at 19 HR, 40 R, 51 RBI, and batting .330. I'll give you Strasburg but you've gotta quit being so stubborn on VMart. Give the guy some credit.

Just for some perspective, here are the league leaders in Home Runs and how many times they've struck out.

EE: 24 HR, 55 SO

Cruz: 24 HR, 69 SO

Abreu: 23 HR, 70 SO

Stanton: 20 HR, 86 SO

VMart: 19 HR, 22 SO

Tulowitzki: 18 HR, 46 SO

Donaldson: 18 HR, 71 SO

That is remarkable. The guy is a great hitter getting lucky with a power surge but also taking advantage of being asked to do nothing but hit.

Edit:

As I typed that, VMart hit his 20th HR of the year.

What's the word on Bundy? Is he going to be pitching out of the bullpen or will he be stretched out and pitch some starter innings? There really isn't a spot for him in that rotation right now and I think coming out of the bullpen would be good to keep his innings down while still being effective. What's the word, chief? He's been a stash on my keeper league roster.

He actually might have a chance at Miguel Gonzales' spot in the rotation.

LOL...I could just see Fantasy soccer....anything past pick 10 would be similar to having pick 60 or 600.

Anybody has any new password recommendations for the Astros so they wont get hacked again?

Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

O's take three straight from the Rangers, and they were down 4-0 at point last night!

I was worried about the Darvish game, but they pulled it off. Love getting a sweep!

The Rangers sat Darvish last night for fear of only having him pitch a few innings and having to sit him because of rain. We were fortunate.
