Quote:I went from upwards of 305 pounds down to the low 160s from late 2011 to mid 2013. I lost almost all of the weight at home, I started with simply walking on the treadmill (that's all I could manage anyway, I was severely out of shape) and a few diet changes. I had no real idea what I was doing and I can't tell you how many hours of internet searching, reading, and fitness magazine reading I did to learn what I know now. My diet largely consisted of Taco Bell, horrid Subway sandwiches and large amounts of Mt. Dew every day. Subway? I still like that sweet onion chicken teriaki sandwich they have. Thats pretty much all I eat there. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Today was a good day for me at the gym. I did 275 6x on deadlifts, which is the most I've ever done. Nothing impressive, but I've always struggled with deads because I've never stuck with them due to not seeing gains, and being tall also hurts me. Also did dips 8x with two 45 lb plates strapped to me. Felt good.
Similar to Brockalee, I did the Beachbody workout and got pretty solid results. I didn't do the T25 workout though, I did the Shakeology diet and 21 day challenge. I'm 6'1" and started the diet when I was at 213. I got down to 199 in those 21 days and I've held my weight be continuing the workouts 3-4 times a week. I didn't stick to the diet but I just watch my portions.
However, I'm going on a cruise in late July so I'm doing the 21 day fix again before the cruise so I can get down to 193 or so. Then I'll be able to really enjoy the cruise guilt-free.

Quote:Who the hell dips potatoes in mayo??? :yucky:A ton of people love mayo and fries, or a mix of mayo and ketchup. I personally hate mayo altogether.

I still like that sweet onion chicken teriaki sandwich they have. I was a Big Philly guy...with extra southwest sauce. Now if I eat Subway it's only when I work (they pay for it) and it's a salad that I usually add my own chicken/boiled eggs to in order to beef (no pun intended) up the protein. I still struggle with my form and my lower back issues from high school football always seem to come into play when I do them. I can't/don't do heavy weight when I do decide to do them. I need to force myself to lighten the weight and do more of them to get my form down better, that'd help with my back I'm sure. Quote:I do tons of eggs too. Quote:thats just flat out ewwwwwwI agree Quote:It helps when you have a relative that has 6 chickens that lay an egg a day each. Lots of free protein. :thumbsup:It's crazy how fast those eggs can add up. I have a coworker with a few chickens and she is always having extra to give away. I bet she gives away about 5-6 dozen a month to folks we work with and she says she still has a surplus of eggs for her own house.

I have a hard time staying away from beer and cookies haha.It is a bit of a challenge. I need to get some light beers I guess! The only real Carbohydrate intake that I have is from booze. I don't really care for sweets, and I can go without bread without too much pain. I just can't stay away from the booze.

Quote:are you really in your 40's? Sorry I guess I'm supposed to talk like this I guess: "Uhhh, yeah, that Mayo on potatoes appetizer doesn't sound very pleasing to the palette....." Better there, chief? Its a msg board. WHo the hell cares how we talk as long as the points are made???

Cookies is the only sweets/carb thing I like but even that is 10x easier to stay away from than the suds. Especially in the summer, when you'd like to be looking tip top haha. It probably also doesn't help that I basically like the heaviest beers I can get my hands on. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! I love the stouts, lagers, porters, and dark beers in general. Now after a hot day, I love me a High Life, but I'd rather have something with some body to it.

What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???
