Miami players arrested, suspended

Quote:Oh please Oprah, relax. Miami and FSU are rivals (well at least they used to be), so yeah, it was a bit of a comparison with the police blotter of the 2 teams/ fans.

It wouldn't be any different if it was a Titans player thread where a Titan was arrested and someone compared the Jags situation to it or vice versa (which happens all the time) , or Cowboys/ Redskins in that conference. Just having a little bantering.

What does being a rival and fan banter have to do with this thread other than you dodging the criticism you need to be giving the players who raped a college student?

Im having a difficult time understanding a Jersey Boy who likes UM. You dont have to explain your fanhood, but that just tickle me.

Go ahead, im still waiting on you to disclose the people who you alleged defended Winston during his legal issues.

Being they are the armpits of America, I wouldn't.

Let me stop my trashing of Jersey because I have to go there for training next month.

I haven't dodged giving the UM players any criticism at all.

Oh gee, the "how can out of state fan like team x argument"....this one's always a snoozer. Its football, its the one sport where it lends itself easier to be a fan of a team thats not local. I grew up watching the Schnellenberger & Jimmy Johnsons Miami teams. I liked their swagger and I liked the winning. They were fun and exciting to watch. Call me a bandwagoner if you wish, but I stayed loyal the whole time and still am a fan today.

No, I'm not going to waste time playing detective and going back and cut and pasting. If you want to pretend there aren't FSU fans that posted here that defended their players for various infractions, then be my guest. I read it as it happened, and if it didn't I wouldn't be bothering to bring it up.

In college especially back when I grew up watching football there were no teams in Jersey worth watching. Rutgers didn't really get good until recently that I remember.

Penn State was big around here, but I didn't really find them interesting.

Well congrats on staying loyal to the program.

I never said there were FSU fans that defended players actions every time they got info trouble. I just simply wanted you to name the people. Your memory span is good enough to remember people defending players for various infraction, just name them. Dont be a "chicken" now.

Quote:Regarding these latest Miami player arrests....

If I wanted to be a Miami apologist, I could say something like (after seeing this story)....

"Looks like Miami is getting their program back to normal".... Ninja

Back in the 80's/ 90's, this type of story seemed routine for the U...... fan or not.
