I popped the top off of the Dickel last night myself.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say! Quote:I'm not an IPA fan either and it's interesting to find that others aren't either. It is, as RachelnTeal said, almost blasphemous to not like them...especially where I am a homebrewer and belong to a homebrewing club. I don't like the hoppiness and so many IPA's are loaded up with Cascade hops which have a distinctive odor. GrassLands? That's me ![]() Oh, and first booze? King Cobra 40 oz (to freedom). Life hasn't been the same since...
I'll play you in ping pong.

In Kentucky today. A pretty festival employee just showed up to the tour bus with 12 bottles of small batch bourbons.
You may not hear from me for a few days... (Town Branch distillery select and Evan Williams single barrel vintage) If I remember what they taste like - I'll report on Monday) We show less advertisements to registered users. By the way, if you're close check out this place. We hit it on the bourbon tour and it was definitely worth it.

I believe I've had a taste of it at the local whiskey watering hole, but it didn't make all that great of an impression on me. Why? You get ahold of some?

Neither of us had heard of it before so we didn't know if it's any good or anything... but I suspect we'll find a way to enjoy it either way ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Wow! An almost 60 year old bourbon. I wonder if it's mellowed at all.

I AM hooked on the Basil Hayden's bourbon but left it in Massachusetts when I came to Fl for the summer in June (I did pick up a small bottle of Woodford Reserve for the occasional taste). I'm back on the tequila for the summer months (Hornitos Reposado right now) plus the occasional vodka (no preference to brand, I buy a cheap one like Seagram's, Fleischman's or Gordon's, they are all the same to me).
What I need/want help with is rum. I'd like to try a better brand of it than Bacardi/RonRico, etc, but have no idea where to start or even how to drink it outside of rum and coke. Any recommendations?
Season Ticket holder since 2004.

Quote:Is that a spiced rum like Capt Morgan? Yes sir, and a healthy 92 proof to boot. |
