I agree Jagwired'd that we may not miss Ace for 4 games...and with Shorts, Lee, and Robinson...we do have 3 good WRs...with all three having great potential...I liked the "wrinkle" that Ace could bring...but IMO he would not be difference between winning or losing those 4 games he is out.

 

We just seem to be snake bit at WR...starting with Jimmy Smith (who was great but had an addiction issue), Soward, Matt Jones (while not great but addiction issues), Blackmon, and now Ace...and then when we get a clean one they are not all that great...Reggie Williams, Dillard, Sims-Walker, ect...

Hopefully it ends here and he turns his life around. He has a future with this team but he has his personal stuff to deal with first. Best wishes to Ace in getting rid of his demons.

I have a friend who worked for the USC football team and he said that Ace, when he was playing there, smoked pretty much everyday so it was definitely weed. Even though it's not that bad at all, if I was making millions for playing my favorite sport then there is no way I even go near that stuff.


Ace just ruined his career. Sad. Thought he had pretty good potential.

In paragraph two, you conclude that his career is over because he smokes a non-addictive substance.

 

Seriously, marijuana "addiction" is a maturity thing. There's no withdrawal associated with putting down the joint. If a person can't kick pot, they're doing it wrong.

Dude, I'm just relaying what I know. He got caught with it in his system. I know it's not addictive I do it all the time also. This stuff normally doesn't end up well when you get caught in the NFL

Sanders is expendable.  I'm not as worried as just disappointed.  Now if word comes down that Scobee got busted for something, then I would start to fret.

What is it with playing WR for the Jaguars? This is starting to really distort the bell curve.

It's not just the Jaguars it's Wide Receivers in general.  For Every Jerry Rice and Tim Brown you have a Terrel Owens or Randy Moss.  Josh Gordan = Justin Blackmon. All the potential in the world and they just can't keep clean off the field. Maybe you got to be some kind of crazy to play Wr in this league.
