Who Are Some Potential Rbs That You Would Target In The Mid-Rounds?
|
Quote:LOL @ "perceived decline".... Well, Fred Taylor had over 500 carries in college with a 5.7 Yards/Carry average over that time. I'd like to think that if I was in a position of authority over Taylor that I'd look at that and realize that he had potential and stick with him. Bryce Brown bounced around to two different schools plus he took a season off. His first season while with Tennessee, he had a nice 4+ Yards/Carry average, but he only recorded stats for one game while at Kansas State. There's a lot less to go off of on a guy like that so any drop-offs have to be worrisome simply due to his lack of playing time. And no, I don't expect him to have 170 yards a game, that's why I never referenced that particular stat. What I do want to see is consistency in his Yards/Carry. To me, that means that he is in fact "making the most of his opportunities." Or isn't that what you wanted?
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

If the defense completely sells out to stop Brown, which they most definitely were doing last season after they had the 2 breakout starts on film, and there is no running room, how can you not take that into consideration?? Whatever man....you think whatever you want. You rather play college lottery with the RB position, be my guest.... I for one, hope that Caldwell is smart enough to at least consider Bryce Brown as a possibility. I absolutely am taking that into consideration; that's the whole point. Before you go and get a guy who already has lost some tread on his tires and who obviously had some issue which kept him from producing even two full seasons in college, find out why his production dropped. Was it because he was facing a defense dedicated to stopping him? Was it because the Defense was simply more competent than what he faced before? Was it because there was an identifiable flaw in him that someone saw and exploited? I'm not down on the guy, I simply think that it's best to do your due dilligence on a player who can't even see the field for ten plays a game on a team that is averaging almost 70 plays per game before you start serving up draft choices for him. I hope that Caldwell considers the guy too, but that he gets a very, very clear idea in his head of what Brown's value is before he goes and trades away a scarce resource.

Quote:LOL @ "perceived decline".... ![]() No thx on trading a 4th rounder for Brown, much rather get a different RB in this class. It does sound like something Gene would do trade a 4th round pick based on a couple games of production.
Quote: 1. wasn't comparing Fred to Brown, but the situations.... not surprised it flew over your head like an F -16.... 2. You could have saved bandwidth by just typing "I've never seen Bryce play". We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
