They are basically de-cononizing the entire Expanded Universe so they can bring back a bunch of old geezers for the seventh movie.

I'm not totally thrilled with Abrams as the Director. I guess I don't think he has the chops to pull off this trilogy in a way that will move the story forward.

I did a quick "why do people hate episode I" search, came across a guy that listed 78 of them. The one I found the funniest was he points out that droids wouldn't have a chain of command!

yup that was the one I found, some of it is legit. But for the most part I've enjoyed all the star wars. with of course Episode I being my least favorite but it still has it's cool moments.

Anakin was outstanding in Episode 3 if you ask me. The dialogue was always written badly, but Chirstensen (Sp?) nailed the body language.

 

I heard the guy didn't get any direction during shooting, and that he had to make it up as he went. It fits, Lucas was obsessed with CGI and the force than he was with the actual story.

 

On another note, I hear they're making a Boba Fett spin-off, which I'm very excited for.

I enjoyed the firstset, and the second set were ehhh...ok.  I am not a die hard like some of you, but I love to buy my son Star Wars stuff.

 

I don't think I take the films as personally as some of you, so I'm guessing I will enjoy it.

Let's be honest.  Star Wars is great mostly for the characters and the world building. The writing?  Not so much.

I worry about this, too, given what he did to Star Trek and blaspheming one of my favorite films of all time (Wrath of Khan.)

 

I do have high hopes given the number of real sets he's using.  Makes them seem like real places again, which was what made the original (IV) such a huge hit.  Lucas was able to convincingly place you in worlds you've never been, but can believe are real.

Nice I want to make my second viewing at the iMax. We're going to the closest decent theater its the one in Fleming island Thursday. My awsome wife is letting us spend our anniversary date on it lol
