Training Camp NOT Family Friendly

OP doesn't like rap. His brain tells him that rap is inherently vulgar so he assumes their must have been profanity.

Nothing more to this story.

Quote:Yes, I could show you tons of songs that don’t have any curse words. Unfortunately, 97% they aren’t the type that hits the charts or get radio play that’s ran by the major labels.

So it is true that nearly all of the rap played on the radio does have some adult word in its explicit version.

However, if you listen to Rap stations that let the F, B, and S words fly then that should be brought to the attention of the FCC. The stations I listen to don’t play those explicit lyrics.

Then that explains all the adult words you hear. Most Americans don't have it so they don't hear the curse words you hear.  On regular commercial radio that’s not an issue. I too have satellite radio, and on the rare occasions I want to listen to Hip-Hop, I listen to the one (hip-hop) station that doesn’t play the explicit version.

it's possible that's the case and the kid this filled in the blank. In fact, it's natural for the mind to fill in associations. K1nder Ike u ca ill ake out is entrnce. Sure it's not correct but I bet you know what it says.

While I'm all for making the team as accessible to as many people as possible, it's also not the teams responsibility to make sure that this guy has it as easy as possible to explain to his son how the world works. No one is making you be a fan of this team. What's next, someone complains they have to explain why a dude walks around peddling beer in the stadium to their child? Come on.

I have been to multiple Jaguar camps with music and have never once heard an explicit lyric. More than likely, the OP does not like rap and heard what he wanted to hear.

More than likely they were not.

Of course he's not being forced, but as a fan of a family friendly sport he should expect a suitable environment for his child. I don't see 'viewer discretion advised' warnings before game broadcasts or practices. I'm not saying there were cuss words, just pointing out the flaw in your logic as well.

I just text three different people that I knew that went to the practice.  All of them came back saying they didnt hear any curse words on the music, but that there was words that may have been edited.

If thats the case, I don't see the problem.  They each said they loved going, got autographs and their kids loved it.  They don't have season tickets so it was a great way to help build the fan base.

Not like you can really tell anyway.

Of course.

I wasn't there yesteday but I am guessing the "rap music" they played yesterday was probably some sort of Jay-Z, Nelly pop-rap anyway.

That's all it ever has been. Nothing that would of needed any editing anyway really.

In fact, I am sure "It's hot in hurrrrrr" was probably appropriate.

As I stated last night, my neighbor went and heard zero profanity. I also have talked with two others that also heard zero profanity, I have attended many of the practices at The bank and they simply don't play the unedited versions. IMO the OP wanted to voice his opinion of the type of music genre and had to spice it up some to try and make himself look less petty. Didn't work.

I only had to read this part of the OP to understand what he actually meant:

While I'm not expecting Disney Channel music, I would suggest if you want the demographic our area could bring, clean it up. I had enough after 90 minutes.

Yeah, the more times one reads the OP his pomposity becomes more clear.

At some point in his life the OP has likely used the term "rap-crap".

The only rap song I LOVE is the one on that radio A/C commercial: Who do you call, a professional rapper?

FWIW, I heard some profanity a few times at the first practice. The music was pretty clean though.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Well, to be factual, I also heard some profanity at the practices. It didn't come from the music though. I might have even uttered some when Henne came running out. :woot:
