I must say I really didn't expect the flack. The bottomline is that on many of the songs played, on the CDs they are from, you may have found rating labels which would probably clue-in a reasonable person that some of the music would have been inappropriate for the WHOLE crowd in attendance. But like I said earlier, it is a shame that as a society we are ambivalent to the lyrics and at the worst, see nothing wrong with some of the music being produced today.

I've attended a few of these practices, and they play all kinds of music.   Last Sunday, they played a little rap, but I also heard Jimi Hendrix, country music, oldies, classic rock, and a lot of other categories.   Rap was maybe 10% of it.  And I've never heard anything even remotely objectionable in terms of lyrics.

I don't believe your story.  I think the Jaguars organization as a whole is smart enough to play music without cursing, and if they had done it before it would have been brought up before today.

 

Here's another point.....if the Jaguars music at practices offends you, don't go.

I'm a little circumspect when people start to use terms like "obscene" in broad generalities. But beyond that, people aren't defending inappropriate lyrics to an audience of children here, they're questioning your veracity. An overwhelming number of people have heard the practice day playlist and outside of you, no one else appears to have heard anything particularly objectionable. Is it so hard to understand why that doesn't pass the smell test?
