all im seeing from a GM is this "Hubbuch quoted a NFC general manager who is extremely high on Bridgewater and said, "Any team in the top five would take a very long look at him, even if they've got a franchise [quarterback] already."  Theyre second guessing eli because hes 32 years old. How does scouts and gm going to see him make him the best prospect comparable to luck? All that article is saying is that hes the best qb prospect in this draft/ gil brandt thinks hes the best overall prospect.

Nothing I or anyone else can say will change your opinion and that much is clear, but just look at his awareness, pocket presence, decision making, footwork, pre-snap reads, athleticism, toughness, accuracy, arm strength, timing and most importantly the fact that he keeps his eyes downfield at all times. What exactly is Daniel Jeremiah's credentials?

 

Was with the Ravens for a year as a West Area Scout.  

Was with the Browns for a year as a National Scout

Was with the Eagles for two years as a West Coast Area Scout

 

Got his first job as a scout because his father had connections with Phil Savage.  Same for his second and third jobs.  

i used him because hes the only one with credentials i can find atm with scouting opinions on teddy. but feel free to provide more, im accumulating evaluations of teddy by people with a background in scouting.

Bridgewater would be the same prospect as luck if he were a 4th year senior what you should really do is compare luck in his junior year to Bridgewater and that is also the reason we need him to compete with luck.

Other than the fact that he spent the offseason learning boxing to improve his footwork and that is numbers are on track to be better? I'd say so.

 

Last season (his first full season since he didn't start at the starter in 2011) he had 3718 yards and 27 touchdowns. Through 5 games this year he is on pace for 4061 yards and 41 touchdowns. And that is with him playing a lot less since he has been sitting down early in games this year due to blowouts.

just to point out, i think that those QB's are a combine 8-2 at this point in the season and alex smith was at one point the fourth rated QB in the NFL last year... Just saying...

That happens with every QB without exception, it's unerealistic to expect otherwise from a QB prospect. Luck/RG3 were inaccurate under pressure as well. As long as he doesn't panic like crazy like someone I know that's fine by me.

Hero there's this great thing. It's called youtube, you can watch a few cutups (not highlights) but simple cut ups of every pass he threw in a few of his games this season, on youtube. Then you can form your own opinions.

lol what is scott wright or eric lamberts credentials, and you said NFL GM, not mock draft sites lol. and no one disputed he wasnt the best qb in the class, or at least i didnt. 

 

Give it up man.  They provided links to what others are saying, Bridgwater is on par with the Lucks, RGIII and other elite prospects coming out of college.  Now thats not saying he will become elite in the NFL but as a prospect teams are drooling over him. 

 

People on this board are going a little nutty for him but I can see why.  The Jags have never had a QB of his potential before and this team really needs a QB of that cailbar desperatly.  I do find it interesting that people will put down one prospect just to push the other prospect they like.  Both Teddy and Clowney are elite prospects yet for some reason, people feel the need to pick a prospect and downgrade the other.  Either him or Clowney would be great additions to this team.

You're great. It appears only your "Ex NFL scout" has the appropriate credentials to grade out Teddy.

 

Yet when others post very similar articles, they are not as valid as yours. Go read McShay and Kiper. If you actually do a little bit of research instead of just taking one guys opinion, you will find that Teddy is absolutely below Luck because Luck (from Dilfer) is the best QB prospect ever. Better than Elway and Manning, so of course Teddy won't beat him. But he is right below Luck, as the best prospect in the last 10 years.

I think its really telling that when CURRENT scouts were polled preseason they all thought Bridgewater should be drafted over Clowney. That is comparing both of their 2012 tape. I dont think many people would have argued that Tanehill should be drafted over Clowney...
