I believe so. He's fighting his butt off for roster spot right now with Arbry Jones and Red Bryant turning in excellent camps as well. Gus knows what he's doing when he preaches competition.

You mean like our inaugural year when Tom took the Jags to Stevens Point, Wisconsin, which if I'm not mistaken still goes down as the hottest training camp in our history?

 

Yes I remember that, and in that particular area, that would go down as an extreme anomaly, weatherwise. 

 

Iit wasn't the norm, it was an exception. 

 

 

Besides, theres other places such as northern New England where they'd be practically guaranteed of moderate temperatures.

Holding the first camp in Wisconsin was a bad idea. You were away from your fan base and it was hotter there than it was here. No need to move it.

 

That was a weather anomaly. If you held the next 20 training camps there, odds are it would never have been even close to as hot as that isolated one. But I get it, cite that as if it were the norm up there.

I wonder if the Jags would be better off holding camp in another locale like Coughlin did initially. 

 

Maybe the heat/ humidity right off the bat isn't such a good thing for some of these Jags players and is leading to the mass amounts of injuries every year in camp.

I'm talking right off the bat, i.e. training camp. Because it seems every year we go through this enormous rash of injuries in camp which could be indirectly related to the extreme heat/ humidity, i,e. the science of it being the players get tired quicker and it is said that more injuries occur when the body is exhausted. 

 

I'm thinking if they held training camp in a more moderate weather locale it might prevent the mass number of injuries. Then by the time the Jags would return to Jacksonville, there would still be ample time for the Jags to assimilate to the conditions in practice for several weeks, so by the time the regular season started, they'd still have a decided home field advantage.

Its hard on your body. Running for hours at a time every day leaves you extremely sore. Plus add hitting and you are extra sore. A lot of soreness going on.


Trying to warm up your already worn out, sore muscles gets old after a couple days.

Ive done three a days, and I have to agree with the previous poster it is not that bad
