Hate him or love him this is likely to be the most watched preseason game thus far. He isn't starting tonight but if I heard correctly is expected to start game 2. Should be interesting regardless!

He did do well and looks in control, too.  This may be an interesting year for the Browns.

He did ok for his first start.  He had a few good passes for drops, like Bortles.  i feel that the excuses will drown out the actual need for improvement; but i think he has a good shot.  I was comparing the two(Manziel and Bortles) and I'm still loving what Bortles brings to the table more and only want to see it consistently.  I already truly stand behind him being the best QB out of the Big 3 this year but want the stats to back it up.

He looked a lot like Johnny Manziel tonight. His passes were accurate and he made plays when things broke down. A much better start than Bridgewater.


 

Bortles looks more like an NFL QB. Manziel brings a different style, and it seemed to work so far. The two big concerns with him are how will he hold up to NFL pounding, and will his off-field activities create a problem. As long as he's healthy and not-suspended he's a very good QB.
