National or Local for Your Jag News?
|
I turned on ESPN this morning for some reason to find out why I quit watching in the first place. There was ESPN posting a graphic comparing Bortles "slow start" to his career to Sammy Watkins 0 catches on 3 targets in his first preseason game. Besides the misinformation provided by national guys, I just don't learn much from them. They can't provide the information that a local guy can who covers the team on a daily basis. If I want to learn about the Jags first opponent, the Philadelphia Eagles, I go to their local guys. I don't go to anyone national at ESPN, FOX...ect.
What about you? Where do you get the majority of your football news from? Local or national? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Local specifically Jaguars web site now then radio. I can't stand the national coverage with their agendas no matter how well you team is doing.

ESPN is a waste of time unless you're a NY/Boston/Chicago/LA fan or like watching drama ad nauseam (Johnny Football/Michael Sam)
ESPN sucks. Don't bother.
Local is good for the most part with the exception of the talent directly working the Jaguar games. The Radio and television play by play guys could absolutely not be worse.
What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
For Jaguars news, I first go to PFT where I get the headlines of the news for all the NFL teams. Then I eventually try to come to this MB/ Forum, even if I don't post anything on some days. The vast majority of time, if something significant happened with the Jaguars it will be posted here relatively quickly, which is appreciated. Often there's a link that's provided that I will check out if the story is of interest.

Jags website/local stuff - NFL.com/NFL channel - ESPN NFL blogs, I pretty much never watch ESPN on TV because I can't stand everything on their channel. We could be winning a game handily and they'd still say we sucked.

Johnny Football is all they talk about. I swear I have never seen anything like it. They acted like it was the SB last night.
Oppps sorry highjacked tread. JAGUARS.COM and don't look back.
PS: Can you tell I hate ESPN
I am very close to a full boycott of ESPN after they suspended 3 anchors in the last week. I just hate companies who feel like they are responsible for delivering punishment to their employees like they are children who need to be taught a lesson. They are grown adults.
Either fire them or not, but to scold them like children and force them into writing forced apologies is pompous. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

The guy on ESPN radio today was praising Bortles as one of the draftees that had a "fast start". So.....I guess it depends upon which anchor you are listening to.
For opinions or write ups on performance I don't even bother anymore.
For actual news who's signed who's released who's injured it's all about twitter
Local always trump national. They're closer to the team.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
