Quote:So correct me if I'm wrong but it appears that Brewster has been demoted to 3rd string.

After the botched snaps on Friday, he should be thrilled to still have a roster spot.

According to Rick Ballou he's been taking 1st team snaps in practice at center, and the coaches like him (other than the bad snaps).   I'm guessing he's probably the starting center next week as well.  But Jacques McClendon apparently also got 1st team snaps at center as well.  I think they are just trying out different combinations.

Quote:yet the color makes a difference.  somebody said there was an episode where they PROVED white vs. black shirts was "busted".  There is no such episode that I can find.  Only an episode where they confirmed that a black car will be hotter.

Altough it was metal.... all things were equal except the color.  It made a difference.  Unless you have proof that modern fabrics are any different, it's logical to assume that there is some effect.  How major or minor the effect might be, who knows unless you test it yourself and measure temp?  I have a white and black under armour.  I'm tempted to test it myself just to prove you all wrong.

I do not play golf in a dark shirt.  It is hot.  Sometimes I forget, and it's confirmed every time, wearing a dark shirt this time of year is a big mistake.

@ryanohalloran: No Gerhart today.

@ryanohalloran: JT Thomas carrying pads so he might be working for first time in nearly 2 weeks.

@HaysCarlyon: Alan Ball back at practice.

@GeneFrenette: Poor decision by Bortles to throw short pass into coverage, Telvin Smith drops Easy INT. #jaguars

It's good that they're experimenting around with the O-Line. Hopefully they can find the best combination of guys on the team.

Brewster from what I've heard has been alright, his bad snaps the other night where supposedly an anomaly for him?

@GeneFrenette: Pic-6 for CB Jeremy Harris on Bortles in 11-on-1. #Jaguars

@NFLosophy: Just got another look at Tyson Alualu's sack from Friday night. McCown held on to long but Collins got MOVED by Alualu. W/ his left arm, too

@GeneFrenette: I know how much better Bortles looked than Henne vs. Bucs? Complete 180 at #Jaguars practice today.

@GeneFrenette: After LB Reynolds drops INT at goal line, Bortles leads TD drive in 2-minute to end practice. #Jaguars

@ryanohalloran: Gerhart could prax tomorrow.

@HaysCarlyon: Gus Bradley says Marqise Lee issue vs. Bucs was not effort issue, he was confused on a play and was slow because of that. #Jaguars

@HaysCarlyon: Gus clarifies that Lee was slow on one play, didn't play slow on most of his 16 snaps. Says Lee's attitude is great. #Jaguars

--guess we can put that one to bed.

@ryanohalloran: #Jaguars ran 77 plays of 11-on-11 today, most of any practice this camp.

Sounds like they're really trying to get things to gel with as many reps as they can squeeze in now.

You are correct. Its funny to listen to the few on here who try and dispute this, however.

Thats what I am guessing as well. This is the time of the year to test out different combos to see if one of them doesn't surprise you.

He probably winds up as the starter, but he's got to get better at snapping the football.  Botched snaps like that are never a good thing.

The truth is we will have a bad center this year.  There is a reason why we were all in for Alex Mack.

Its a shame they did not get him.

We knew we would suck at Center.  The position was not adequately improved (signing Mack would have been great)....

Then Oesher starts writing as if we're OK at Center with Brewster.

He definitely didn't earn the starting gig nor should he start.  I'd rather give Bowanko a shot, he can't be much worse.

@ryanohalloran: Best throw of practice today was by Bortles down right sideline to Kerry Taylor. #Jaguars

@SiriusXMNFL: #Jaguars HC Gus Bradley on QB's: This is still Chad Henne's job but Blake has done a good job and is building that body of work. #SXMNFL

It's basically Oesher's job to sugar coat everything

Until said player is cut, then it's "we are better off now"

Bright House, but I wouldn't say no if the perks of chick-fil-a included free chicken. We can meet up at a game and I'll buy you a chicken sandwich.
