Yeah. I shoulda figured it was gonna look like this.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Quote:I dont know its way too early to say that after only one preseason game.  I am sure not having one of the best WRs Jackson to throw to wont help his season stats.

I would however reconsider drafting him 1st overall on your fantasy team (if you have one) after that performance.  The Eagles are in a really weak division even though the Cowboys looked good this week, and Coughlin always pulls out a strong D & decent running team.  The Redskins back up Coughlin looked better than their starter RG3, but their running game was impressive yet their Defense (despite the talent) played bad as usual.  I think the Eagles will take that division but with only 8 wins.

Too early to say it after one preseason game?.....I said it last year, as well. (The Foles is merely "average" part)

One bad preseason game doesn't mean his entire 2013 season was a fluke and he's merely average. If we were midway through the regular season and he were posting so-so numbers then you may have a point.

Quote:Well, Foles does get the advantage of playing vs the AFCS this year (especially getting the Jags week 1 instead of later).

So, that's 4 games that he'll get 10-13 TDs out of right there,, maybe a little more.

That, and no one in the NFC East will play any defense.

The Cowboys will be even worse, probably the worst in the nfl. No Demarcus ware, and no Sean lee? Even with those two, they were among the worst last year. Ew.

Love bashing the Cowboys. Hope we smash them in london

Yup.

But I can't believe (or maybe I overlooked) that no one's spotted the hidden agenda at work here.

This isn't about Foles.

It's about Barkley.

It's about Barkley.

In chip Kelly's offense, Barkley would put up 99 million touchdowns....

Or wait. He would apparently throw 0 touchdowns, 4 interceptions, and 3 fumbles. Which is crazy because barkley is already super good and chip Kelly just inflates a qb's stats so... Idk what went wrong here.

Point being: nick foles stinks.

My head hurts.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Barkley played injured all last year.

He looked better last week. Certainly better than Foles.

He had a 52.3 passer rating and the coveted ypa was under 5. Against Chicago's third stringers. Yeah, he looked great. He's gonna be third on the depth chart behind Sanchez.

If chip was such a genius and Barkley was so good, I would imagine he would be ahead of foles, not third string. But what do I know?

I feel bad because I know myself and a few other posters have really been making you look and feel foolish lately. So much so that you have disregarded plenty of posts. So I'll leave this issue alone with that for the time being.

I watched the game, you looked at a stat sheet. Barkley was better than he looked last season. And certainly wasn't as horrid as Foles that game.

LOL, you haven't made anyone look bad but yourself with that lame avatar that you're so proud of. Laughing

I also watched, but would you like me to reference every single play where Barkley looked bad?

Again he performed poorly against third stringers.

You don't reference specific stats or specific plays. You simply just say something like Barkley is a franchise QB. But there is no substance behind that.

Foles played the starters and had 1 bad preseason outing. He has a season and a half of other very good performances behind him now. Barkley, on the other hand, has done nothing and I've watched. If the replay comes on today, I'll breakdown each crappy play.

Regardless, if foles is horrid because of his play against starters, and Barkley was slightly better against third string. What does that make Barkley? A turd hero?

Barkley had a few bad plays, I agree but he wasn't as bad as Foles that game and was definitely showing improvement from his injury affected 2013 action....and regarding the 3rd string defense comment...that goes both ways, he's also throwing to 3rd string WR's in that situation, so....
