Agreed, and I'm fairly certain if he's not getting what you suggest, he's probably pretty close considering he's overseeing the Jaguars operation as well as Fulham, and the proposed shipyards project, as well as Khan's other real estate ventures here in town.  I'm sure he's making plenty of coin based on how integral he is to the success of the business side of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

I'm just hoping he can handle the additional responsibility with the Fulham thing. I don't want anything taking away from the good job he's doing with the Jaguars part of the equation. So far, so good....

He's been handling the "Fulham thing" since Khan bought the team, and clearly he's capable of multi-tasking because there hasn't been any indication of a problem.

This is what Jacksonville needs, outside blood to come in and bring this city up to compete with the larger markets. Soon we will see the return of major businesses coming back and setting up shop here again, along with those who have come in recent years. There will be an even larger boom in the economy soon!

Khan has pretty much indicated that's what he intends to do. He has more of a long-term vision for this city than the people running it, or the money people who have been here for decades.

There will be no reason at all to even think of moving the Jaguars at that point. (should those projects start happening)

Whether the shipyard project happens or not, I don't think there's any cause for concern about relocation any longer.

I meant from a $$$/ profit standpoint going forward. At that point I would see Jacksonville as much of a cash cow for Khan as any London or LA opportunity. I think currently its already trending in that direction, but the shipyards projects would pretty much cement it.

He's made nearly a quarter billion dollars on his investment in 3 years.  I think he's doing just fine.

Glad i didn't sell my Jax house!  Hope this happens!!!  I'm in 49er land now, i might be the lone Jag out here.  I'm sporting the gear still, a lot of outsiders have a ton of respect for what's happening in Jax!

That money only makes sense if he plans to sell the team in order to capitalize on the increased value of the franchise.  Since that doesn't appear to be the case, and it sounds like he intends to be in this as a generational owner of this franchise, I doubt very seriously that he cares about the money he might make in London or LA, especially when considering the added cost involved in moving to either market. 

 

In listening to him for the past 3 years, I get the sense his real goal is to grow the Jacksonville market to the point where we're competing with the big markets on every level.  In other words,  he wants to take this market and make it a medium or even big market team.  He's lived his entire life as an underdog, and this franchise mirrors what he's about right where it is.  It's not going anywhere.

If you look at him attending local events, he loves the atmosphere, and he's clearly enamored with the fans.

In a way the city of Jacksonville itself presents Khan with the mirror image sort of opportunity as the franchise did when you "buy low". (32nd valued franchise out of 32 teams when he purchased it).
