Allen Hurns

Quote:Thats just because you have an odd love for Mr Drops.

are you talking about cecil? the guy who has been our best receiver for two seasons?

so hurns hasnt caught a pass in a real NFL game just because i like cecil?

i didnt realize how i felt about someone had an effect on other people's lives like that. poor hurns.

lets get rid of our proven productive NFL player for a guy that literally hasnt played 1 snap yet. your genius is ahead of its time.

how have you actually made it this far in life? who ties your shoes? you cant really be this dumb. this is all clearly an effort in trolling. yet still somehow i feel like youre a person of pretty low intelligence in real life as well. its an odd paradox of sorts.

Other than the winning catch vs Cleveland last year, Shorts had a rather unimpressive season. Dropped a lot of passes and rarely won one on one battles in tight coverage.

Hurns already looks more polished and productive in 3 games than Cecil looked all of last year.

Cecil needs Blackmon on the other side for him to look good. Hurns needs no other WR to make him look good. Theres the difference.

if he would have stayed healthy he'd have multiple 1,000 yard seasons.. his injury history is another reason he won't get a big contract.

Did Fisch coach Hurns?

we have had this argument before. most of cecils production has been without blackmon on the field. 66 catches last year with garbage throwing him the ball and not much other offensive talent. you keep just spewing this garbage. cecil needs another WR, hurns doesnt. you do realize just because you say something doesnt mean its actually true, right?

hurns hasnt played in a real game yet!

If Hurns is not starting week 1, it's a travesty. He's earned it IMO. I'd like to see him and shorts outside, with Lee in the slot. Then if ARob comes back and performs, rotate him with Hurns and/or Shorts. Then Sanders comes back and rotates with Lee. That's a strong group right there.

Our WR situation is amazing at this point.    Hope it continues.

If Blackmon somehow comes back it could potentially be the best 4 WR ever assembled (as a corps)

Blackmon

Robinson

Lee

Hurns

Shorts would legitimately be a 5 on that corps (with all of them playing to their capability)

...Then in 2 years add Kelvin Taylor as the RB! B)

this is likely what the general outline of the offense will look like. of course, all the receivers will be playing different roles at different times, outside, inside, slot. most guys we have are interchangeable.

Blackmon is not coming back. The dream is dead.

ummmmm that's not my hope. it is reality. i understand he will probably still have the opportunity to return, but after pretty much two years off and seemingly unable to either control himself or put football ahead of drugs and alochol, its highly....extremely unlikely, that blackmon plays another down in the NFL.

Exactly. Would it be awesome if he came back to have a spectacular career as a Jag? yes but i'd put $100 down that he dosent.

It's very bizarre how little we know of Blackmon's situation.  He's been completely silent.  I kinda get the impression he's taking a break from football, permanent or temporary, and maybe even a bit disgruntled about what's been happening.   It's such a HUGE opportunity he has in front of him I can't discount him at some point coming to the decision (or getting to the mental state) that he's got a chance to do something HUGE with the talent he has.

(If so, we got him on contract.)

He's got to be seeing the Bortles news too....so he's even got a good QB to look forward to throwing him the rock...
