Mike Harris being cut leaves just Andre Branch and Bryan Anger as the only active players from Gene Smith's final draft.

Within 3 years I could see both being gone too.

Which Barden?

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

This. ^  He played pretty well at nickel most of the time. I'm sure he'll be picked up quick.  McCray, a healthy Jeremy Harris and Will Blackmon's continued good play made him expendable.

The rest were even more expected.

I doubt Anger leaves, don't see why they would risk it. Remember last time we let a punter walk?

I'm sure they can't put Aaron Colvin on I until after the last preseason game, so maybe that's why Mike Harris was cut now? He was a decent nickelback, but easily upgradeable. Top 4 CB spots are pretty much locked up (Gratz, Ball, Blackmon, Mccray).
No commercial messages in sigs

Mike Harris just had too many young guys around playing better than him.  And don't forget the first-round talent on the shelf CB Aaron Colvin, who should be healthy late this year or early next year.  All of the 2nd year players are playing well - Gratz, McCray, and Jeremy Harris.  Plus they may have a good Practice Squad candidate in Rashaad Reynolds.  With Alan Ball and Will Blackmon also having proven themselves as starters, the Jags are LOADED at CB, with a lot of potential still unrealized.

maybe he won't but if he did I trust Caldwell to find a good replacement. I expected Anger to be a pro bowler from day one.

How long do they have for the other 4 cuts?  I think the teams that play on Friday have till Tuesday afternoon. Do we have a different deadline?

I wonder if the delay in naming the others means that guys are being dangled for late draft choices?
