Bortles looks like the second coming

#21

Right now, Bortles looks like the second coming of Aaron Rodgers his first 3 years in the league.

Quote:Have you actually caught any of the other 2 this preseason???

Garoppolo made a TD pass that was fantastic for anyone, let alone a rookie. He threaded the needle in the middle of the end zone and was throwing to a spot, not a wide open WR that was standing there. He literally threw the guy open when it appeared nothing was there. And thats just a single highlight. Theres plenty more for him so far.

Mettenberger was lights out the other night when he got extended playing time due to injury of another QB as well.
I wonder how long before Mettenberger gets the tacks job? Locker looked pretty good the other night too.

He's got some Roethlisberger, some Favre in him (gunslinger mentality), Maybe some early Carson Palmer as well.

I don't....he doesn't throw a lot of passes at WR feet, or barf all over the field.

love that we got a gutsy gunslinger qb. didn't like the pick initially but the more I've learned about this guy and watched him play, the more he's really starting to grow on me

Alright guys, I like Bortles and all and I think that he will be great, but these early comparisons to Dan Marino, Brett Favre, and Big Ben when he hasn't even played in his first real regular season game, makes me believe that this board has officially gone bonkers.

If Bortles turns into the next QB bust for the Jags, then reading this thread a few years down the road via thewaybackmachine.org is going to be real hilarious.

He just looks the part of a franchise QB which is all I really care about. That's a start.

No pain, no gain.
