Imagine Blackmon, Hurns and Robinson lining up. Those are 3 big dudes at the WR position.

Hurns has been the best and most consistent player outside of Bortles.  Bortles to Hurns has a good ring to it.

Even if Junkmon comes back, he's just gonna screw up again.

Yawn.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

What does that even mean? Maybe he has elite inner ear.

Quote:Other than the winning catch vs Cleveland last year, Shorts had a rather unimpressive season. Dropped a lot of passes and rarely won one on one battles in tight coverage.

Hurns already looks more polished and productive in 3 games than Cecil looked all of last year.

Cecil needs Blackmon on the other side for him to look good. Hurns needs no other WR to make him look good. Theres the difference.
What TMD said. Hurns looks good out there... its not like the DB aren't trying to play defense... they don't want him to catch 100+ yards and cost them a starting spot. He's the real deal.

the argument is that cecil has done it against number 1's consistently and hurns has a leg up because he knows fisch's system. im not saying hurns isnt good. i am just saying that saying he is better than cecil is moronic.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Amazing. In 11 pages of comments, Hurns has evolved from worthless scum to a starter.

Quote:Not very good overall. He is average in just about all areas and had a little hype by being a player from the U. Maybe two or three years ago it would be different but I don't see him making the 53.
I disagree I think he's proven himself to be on the depth chart.

Based on what I've seen in preseason I'm trying to go through scouting reports and see just why he was a UDFA.  I know Miami isn't the SEC or anything, but he seems to compare a bit to Jordan Matthews (maybe an inch shorter), who also came from a D1 school.  Both had similar stats their last year in college and both got knocks on them for their frames, but can do a lot of other things well.  I'm not saying Hurns should have been drafted in round 2, the same as Matthews, but seems like at least a 4th or 5th round prospect.

Deep draft and he had a history of injury and drops in college. They said all along that it was a deep draft at receiver and I think we might see a few UDFAs catch on.

I saw the drops thing, but it didn't seem like it was that bad, just being a little nit picky.  But you're right it was an extremely deep draft for WRs.  Like one of the most deep ones I can remember.

Well one has been playing against starters. The other is playing against future middle school coaches.

Yeah, one is 6'4 and will make the roster, too. I'm still impressed. Especially coming from Georgia Military academy to the League. I can appreciate non-Jags
