Theres still 11 days until both play their first game.

I'll probably take the bet, as convoluted as your terms for it were. But am still mulling it over.

The only thing that has me hesitant is their new OC is from Kelly's coaching tree and will be running facets of Kelly's offense which will artificially inflate Tannehill's numbers, just like Foles' are artificially inflated.

You were hoping I missed that part about the Kelly assistant being Miami's new OC, weren't you?

he was nothing more than the qb coach under chip kelly for one season. what a stretch. where is the assistant OL coach for the eagles at right now? that teams offense is probably gonna have crazy inflated numbers.

With Kelly he was the QB coach....and now he's gotten a promotion to OC with the Dolphins. He's already said he'd be running facets of what he learned under Chip Kelly. The association there is likely the predominant reason the Dolphins chose Lazor to begin with.

LOL @ you trying to downplay the significance here. Laughing

You know damn well having Lazor there is a boon to Tannehill's potential numbers this season.

lazor was the offensive coordinator at U virginia from 2010-2012.... three seasons.

they started off pretty bad and got progressively worse every season.

he was the seahawks qb coach in the 08-09 season, one of hasselbecks last there and a year where seneca wallace started 8 games and was total crap.

the year before tha he was the qb coach with the redskins and did amazing things developing jason campbell right? nope jk. he was terrible. as was brunell for the few games he started but he was pretty much washed up by then so ill give him a pass on brunell.

so anyway, in the last 7 years he has had one productive year and that was as OC of the eagles where kelly clearly was the real coach of the offense.

bill lazor has a history of being largely unsuccessful, so no, i do not "know damn well" or even think that lazor will be a boon to tannehill in miami.

Is he running the U of Virginia offense in Miami or the Kelly offense?

And, if we're just going by past resume's....Fisch's resume wasn't exactly littered with successes prior to being chosen by Bradley. I'd say his most recent stop in Miami (university of) might have been his best. Just like Lazor's last stop, might have been his best resume addition.

actually can date back to 2001 when he was oc/qb coach of the bills when they were terrible offensively then too.

no he isnt. he is running his own offense. this is a quote from a miami player wishing to remain anonymous

"There are some West Coast offense concepts," the player said. "Some shotgun, some under center. They’ve discussed having both no huddle and huddle."

so regardless using your logic here. if mullarkey used chip kellys offense, then the jaguars would have been a lot more dangerous and had a much higher ranked offense?

If Mularkey was running Kelly's offense they would have been more dangerous than Mularkey running Mularkey's offense, yes.

so my question is would you be confident in the jaguars with mullarkey as our OC running that offense?

Ideally, I'd rather not have Mularkey here. That said, I'd feel more confident in Mularkey running Chip Kelly's offense rather than Mularkey running Mularkey's offense.

Lazor will be running concepts of Kelly's offense in Miami. They were talking about this very subject on ESPN radio just last night. Miami wasn't hiring Lazor based off of his prior resume, thats for sure. They hired him based off of the idea that he'll be taking soem of what he learned under Kelly and implementing it in Miami, otherwise theres no point in hiring Lazor.

I just know that you hate hiring retreads and coaches that have a long history of failure.

Seems contradictory.

You're somehow surprised by the contradictions? The guy had a cup of coffee in Kelly's system and suddenly he's running Kelly's offense in Miami even though it's been stated more than once he's running his own offense. Since he's running some elements of Kelly's offense, that means they'll be a juggernaut. Mmmmm okay.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I dont know about all that, but I enjoy the Jagaurs Offense (Fisching for attention) playbook in Madden 15!  I love that game even though they under rank some player on Jacksonville.

Lazor in Miami wouldn't be that ^^^ any more than Fisch is that here based on resumes. So bringing up Mularkey is pointless anyway.

Yeah.....Miami hired Lazor because of his own offense, not because of the Kelly connection and hope that he's bringing some of that with him. ROFL!!!!!

no, not surprised at all.

i actually think lazor will have success..... only because i think tannehill is a good player and is going to step up. the addition of moreno is huge too.

i dont think its gonna look anything like kellys offense in philly. there is no mccoy in miami, no maclin.

still good in their own right. probably a top 16 offense this season.
