***Officially official Roster Cuts***

Quote:logic. I don't hate prosinski but why not fill that position with a rookie or 2nd year player who could still possibly develop into a good defense player who shines on special teams too?
If that player was on the roster, I'd bet money they'd have cut Prosinski today to keep him. I still wouldn't be shocked if Pros gets the ax this weekend after a waiver claim, but the coaching staff seems to really like him on special teams.

Quote:Lol Todman over Green-Ellis plz take of the teal glasses, Todman is just a guy, if he was on any other team nobody would care about him, Green-Ellis would be a major upgrade, tho I dont think we will get him
Maybe a major upgrade a few years ago.

He got 1 carry for 3 yards in the preseason. That makes me believe the bengals think he's done. They didn't even try to work him to get some trade value.

Quote:Pretty much. This team has always had that one special teams guy who seemed to linger for a while.

Coughlin had Brant Boyer, Del Rio had Sunshine, and this regime has inherited and kept Prosinski around.

Kassim Osgood also comes to mind.    These type of players can be the difference in a handful of games.

Green-Ellis an upgrade over what?

Rotovirus?

Things are certainly muddled behind Gerhart, but sorry... I seen nothing appealing about a washed up castoff.

He and Todman both boasted an equally "impressive" 3.4 yards per carry last year.  I see no upgrade by going with a back that "stout" in the twilight of his career.

I wouldn't be opposed to bringing someone in if someone were to become available.  I just don't see anything in Green-Ellis that makes him a "must have" over our stable of young backs.

If by chance a few teams think the ' Law Firm'  has something left in the tank,  my guess is he wouldn't choose a team that has a starting caliber in between the Tackles RB like the Jaguars have,

Josh Wells and Sam Young still on the roster. Bit of a surprise. Young hasn't impressed me.

7 LB's on the roster. Keeping Stupar and JT Thomas is a bit of a surprise as well.

By my count, there are still 56 on the roster.  There appears to be 3 more moves, at least, to make.

The bengals drafted his replacement in Jeremy Hill they didnt need him anymore, our backup RB situation is not great and I was saying that before the draft, I dont think he would be a good fit behind Toby since they are similar RB's, but he is a lot better then our backups

Well BGE is a pounder short yard back I dont expect huge ypc, Todman is a so called speed back he shouldnt be avg 3.4 ypc

How is he a huge upgrade over Todman?  Identical YPC on a much more prolific offense.  Stick him here:  He's worse.

Prosinski must have compromising photos of someone. It's the only possible scenario.

They didn't keep him as a back up either. 1 carry in the preseason makes me believe something is wrong with him.

I don't see him getting picked up anywhere unless a team is faced with a rash of injuries.

Montell Owens, also. It was crazy having them both on ST's at the same time.

No question both have been differential Special Teams players for a long time in the NFL.

While Kassim Osgood never really established himself on Offense,   I really like the versatility that Owens brings to the table.   Including being a backup RB.   If I recall correctly,  Owens had at least a 5.0 rushing average in 2012.   Considering the Jaguars QB situation,  that's impressive.

Unfortunately Owens missed all but the first Quarter of one game last season with the Lions because of a knee injury and suffered another injury in the pre-season game against the Jaguars last week.    I want Owens to make the Lions 53 man roster,  especially because of his Special Teams contribution.   I give him a 50-50 chance of surviving the cutdown to 53.   Ironically,  Osgood also had a season with the Lions after his stay with the Jaguars.

Quote:Probably not.  He was practically handed the keys, then backed over the mailbox.

Then hit mom's car in the driveway, before he backed it into the ditch.

I'm sorry for bringing this back up, its a couple pages old but boy oh boy was this funny lmao.

I'm a bit surprised they kept both (so far.)  I would have expected JTT to make it, and Stupar not to have made the cut.  Maybe special teams?  Or holding on in case of waivers?
