QB Nick Foles

#81

I like Foles.  I have him as my keeper in my 16 person league.  He'll cost me an 8th round pick.  That's pretty good for a 16 person league.  I'll probably pick up some insurance though.

You won't be so eager in a few months

Did you watch him last night? 179 yards on 29 attempts.Thats Henne-esque ...Oh and another terrible INT, which gives him 3 in a little over 4 quarters of football.

Foles isn't a bad fantasy QB risk if you can get him at a reasonable spot in the draft. However I've seen some drafts where he went as high as the 3rd round and that is insane.

Foles is a better fantasy league QB than he is an actual NFL QB.

I would easily take these QB ahead of him in fantasy leagues though -

Luck

Manning

Rodgers

Brees

Stafford

Brady (although Brady is kinda the "antiFoles" as in "better actual NFL QB than a fantasy league QB")

IMO...Foles is a bit of a risk. One good year. He may pan out...but in FF value, Romo will throw all year...if he stays upright. Rivers shot back up to relevancy last year.Russell in Seattle looked pretty good, although in was preseason. Dalton and Ryan should have decent numbers as well.

My biggest concern is RG3. He's looking mighty shaky.

Besides the big 3.,, I'd be happy with any of the others.

Fantasy football doesn't care what makes them look good as long as they produce points.

Foles is greatly helped by Kelly's offense, but it takes special QB traits to excel in that offense. Foles is great at pre-snap reads and manipulating the defense. There are a lot of QBs that would struggle with that aspect of Kelly's offense.

Well I ended up getting Foles in one of my leagues, in the 3rd round.  Eight other QB's had gone by the middle of the 3rd, so I had to take him a lot earlier than I wanted.  But I got Forte and Jimmy Graham in rounds 1 and 2.  Score!

In my other league, I took Manning (helped me win championship last year) in the 1st, and Foles went to somebody early in the 3rd.

We'll see how he does.  I still think he may end up with the 4th best Fantasy stats behind Manning, Brees and Rodgers.  I think Stafford will have a down year for some reason.

Quote:TMD, I don't think anyone is calling Foles elite. I think he is solidly in the 10-15 range. I'd rather have Foles as my QB than over half the starting QBs in the NFL.

I still stand by this, so the goalposts haven't moved.

When you make the above Barkley post, they have.

When you call out people for overhyping one Eagles QB, then don' be a little baby when someone calls you out about the Eagles QB that you overhyped.
