Hurns to open season as the WR3
|
Quote:Im still trying to understand how Hurns is so much more talent then shorts... The cook says he passed the eye test. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:SHorts averages roughly 12 YPC without Blackmon in the lineup.Imagine that... a players stats are affected by the lack of players around him. Almost as if, without Blackmon teams could just key in on Shorts. And his YPC goes down a whole 3 yds when that happens. That is just crazy. You're really reaching. Quote:No matter how you want to twist and turn and tap dance around it, Hurns (and for that matter Lee and Robinson) have zero...count em zero...games of REAL NFL experience.Buy they pass his eye test, so they must be better. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
ON-TOPIC:
Hurns at WR3 is a wonderful thing for a talented UDFA, the team and it's fans. I'm really happy to see the designation and I bet he makes it hard to keep him off the field even when other receivers return. Quote:Imagine that... a players stats are affected by the lack of players around him. What else is he supposed to do? The agenda won't argue for itself. He has to twist things any way he can to show how smart he is. He's got that big brain. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I said during the preseason that he was a great story and an easy guy to get behind and root for. Earning a roster spot was a tremendous accomplishment for him. You want to see him succeed. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Hurns is someone I like because I can see he's legit. quinn gray.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
Quote:quinn gray. Ouch! But to TMD, he was legit. Too legit to quit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cdk1gwWH-Cg Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Hurns is someone I like because I can see he's legit. This reminds me of when Shorts was drafted and you thought he'd never be more than a 4th or 5th receiver and he'd be out of the league after one year. After of 1700 yards and 10 TDs in 2 seasons with Chad Henne & Gabbert at QB, if you can't see he's a good player then you need your eyes checked. Nobody has implicated that they don't want Hurns to succeed because they like Shorts, if anything people are excited but still tempering their expectations because even though he knows the offense Hurns is still a rookie. You don't want Shorts to succeed because then you'll be "right" but the fact is he's already proved you wrong and put two of your favorite 80s wearing WRs (Jason Hill & Jarrett Dillard) out of jobs. Quote:quinn gray. ...had lots of talent. QG's issues were upstairs as well as his attitude. What I liked from QG was his talent. When I saw that the other things were precluding him from fulfilling that potential, I didn't champion QG anymore. He still had the most natural talent of any of the 3 QB on that Jags roster in the 2005-2007 time frame. Quote:This reminds me of when Shorts was drafted and you thought he'd never be more than a 4th or 5th receiver and he'd be out of the league after one year. "hes too robotic!"

Quote:This reminds me of when Shorts was drafted and you thought he'd never be more than a 4th or 5th receiver and he'd be out of the league after one year. Jason Hill and Dillard were 2 receivers I liked, but neither of them have the talent of any of these 4: Lee/ Robinson/ Hurns/ Blackmon. Quote:...had lots of talent. he passed your vaunted eye test but oddly enough he didnt amount to anything. so you should stop propping up your eye test. hurns hasnt played an NFL down yet and its not like were talking about julio jones coming out of college. if hurns winds up being our best receiver then thats great. a terrific thing to happen with 3 other talented guys on the team too. nice try trying to put words in my mouth and having the board shut you up again. i feel bad though. all of this public shaming of you lately, youre probably really gonna abuse that bar stool tonight and it just doesnt deserve that.

Quote:Jason Hill and Dillard were 2 receivers I liked, but neither of them have the talent of any of these 4: You said they were the next Jimmy & Keenan...sounds like you think they had that much talent and then some. Quote:...had lots of talent. Based on your extensive scouting of QG. I'm sure you saw every snap from his college days too, right? Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:And both stunk...and had numbers in the 80's. hah!

It can't be that they had numbers that weren't in the teens. I think you're confusing them with others. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:he passed your vaunted eye test but oddly enough he didnt amount to anything. so you should stop propping up your eye test.Cookie has quite the eye. He can see the future before the rookies have played a single down. Apparently it gets a little fuzzy when talking about the mos productive receiver on the roster over the past 2 years. Wait, you're okay with it if Hurns succeeds? But the diva says we should be angry because he succeeds. I'm confused. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
