Robinson ahead of both Todman and Johnson...not bad for a guy that went through a significant position switch.
Nice to see D Rob take the #2 RB spot. Todman is physically gifted and a good returner but too often he gets caught trying to do a little too much when he's at RB IMO.
Nice to see Laroy Reynolds go from UDFA to starter in year 2
I'm confused. Isn't Hurns the best receiver on the roster?
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Robinson ahead of both Todman and Johnson...not bad for a guy that went through a significant position switch.Agree. He was the best of the bunch in the preseason. Toddman was fairly unimpressive, and Johnson is a guy that's clearly a project. At least Robinson showed some play making ability behind Gerhart, and we need that from one of the depth guys. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Toddman didn't impress at all in the pre-season but it would be hard to do with our OL. Robinson looked good but he has the speed/athletic ability to run outside of the OL and make a play that way.
Quote:Reynolds over Watson is interesting. Hm, alright.not a surprise to me, Watson was out for a while and Reynolds took advantage, I don't expect it to stay that way though
Happy to see D-Rob in that spot. He clearly outperformed the other backs in pre-season.

Toddman supposedly has the same kind of speed to hit the hole quickly, plus elusiveness. It's difficult to say where he's at in his progression based on how poorly the line played. We'll see soon enough because I'm sure we're going to see a heavy rotation among the bottom 3 guys behind Gerhart. That depth chart could change weekly. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

That should flip as the season gets rolling. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Denard clearly has better vision and running ability than the other guys. Even when nothing is there, he seems to recognize that and not dance around for an additional loss. Storm and Todman haven't figured that out yet.

How Fisch utilizes him in the offense is going to be fun to follow. If they can get him the ball with some space, he's proven he can make the big play. Storm is a raw rookie, so he gets a pass. Todman really did look indecisive at times. Too much dancing and not enough running north and south. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Todman has shown the speed to get to the corner and turn upfield a number of times in the past, but I've never seen any real "elusiveness." I think elusiveness in his case is tied to how he dances around. He doesn't commit and go. What I've noticed about Robinson this year is that he's really being patient in letting his blockers get out there and do their job. He's not forcing it at all, which is encouraging. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Reynolds over Watson is interesting. Hm, alright. I thought Watson showed a little bit as a pass rusher... surprised Reynolds is ahead. Watson did indeed get some pressure ( 2 sacks) during preseason and I wonder if he'll rotate in on obvious passing downs.
hopefully Toddman continues to move down on the depth chart until he's gone.
