No one can say for certain if that was a 2nd or 3rd read, but it was definitely not a screen. A check down yes, but not a screen.

 

Meh, semantics. MJD's route was essentially a screen if he was positioned at the LOS as a wideout to begin with, which was my understanding of the play. I thought it was too quick of a throw for it to be a checkdown. Again, I can be wrong, I don't claim to always be right.
