we already had this debate. you think andrew luck is a franchise guy but dalton isnt. the colts weapons might be just a little bit worse than the bengals. the bengals really dont have anything special outside of aj green and daltons play and stats crap on andrew luck.

 

so if luck is a franchise guy to you, then dalton is a franchise guy. regardless of your opinion, he is definitely a franchise qb and oddly enough, the entire bengals franchise also sees him that way.

No, that's a good throw, but it definitely wasn't more impressive. Bortles hit his guy in stride 50 yards down the field without even needing to step into the throw, the Mallet throw was good, but wasn't as well placed. (WR coming toward the middle of the field, had to readjust back out toward the sideline)

You do grasp the fact that the NFL is not college, right? 

 

The list of QBs who showed "impressive play in college" only to fall flat on their faces at the next level is a long, and distinguished list.  To add to the fuel here, not only did your man crush play miserably in the preseason, but Garoppolo played extremely well.  Much better than anyone anticipated, and because of that, the untested rookie is replacing a guy who has done nothing in the NFL, preseason or regular season to warrant all the love you give him.

The QB that played more of a pro style in college and did so at a high level, usually translate well to the pro game. Mallett was making all kinds of NFL throws his last year of college. He's the classic dropback passer.
