Clowney
|
Quote:I like Clowney and he has a shot at being one of the best defensive ends in the league, but I just dont think he has the heart. I've said it before, and JJ Watt will help his motor, I just have the feeling he doesn't want it. I'm not trying to annoy the Texan fans by saying that, its just how I feel. He may or may not have the heart....but these nagging injuries are starting to pile up. I get the feeling that this could end up to be a recurring theme with this guy. The irony about kneejerk reactions is that it's never too early OR late.
Either way, you "knew it all along."
"You do your own thing in your own time. You should be proud."
And if you make enough kneejerk reactions you're bound to be right on one of them. Thereby confirming the saying "Even the sun shines on a dogs [BLEEP] some days"...

Can we leave the personal insults behind for a while and get back to some semblance of topic, gents? Please, and thank you.

Quote:But you're willing to trade Bortles for him and a ham sandwich, gotcha. I said those 3 for 1. If Mallett becomes a franchise QB, the trade is then well worth it. I happen to think Mallett develops into a franchise QB. Whether I think Clowney will continue to have these nagging injuries is immaterial. I can't see the future. I could be wrong in that assumption. And if he does not suffer that fate, then he will more than likely be everything he was advertised. The talent is clearly there. So at that point you'd be getting 2 players at or above pro bowl level in exchange for one (assuming Bortles pans out). Yes. I'll make that trade every time. ....not to mention, Bortles isn't "guaranteed" anything either...he's yet to play a single NFL reg season snap.

Quote:I said those 3 for 1.Sorry, that was probably disrespectful to the ham sandwich. So yeah you'd rather have 2 QBs with little to no chance of developing into a starting caliber QB (imho) and a DE that you "think" will have nagging injuries and a last name that's not suitable for a star player. Quote:this doesnt sound like a football post TMD. what happened to you never insult the poster, only the post? You're really not supposed to point that out. Never argue with idiots. On topic... It's not a bad move by the Texans simply because they can't lose much. They literally gave as close to nothing as they could. If he develops good for them, if not they lose a possible 7th next year. I personally would love it if Savage is their guy and Mett is the Titans'. If we could have a division full of talented QBs it would be so much fun.
