Any updates on Blackmon?

The league is determined to keep Gordon suspended, so if that happens, the most recent arrest will become the focus.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Well, of course they will.  We aren't about to deprive Peyton a weapon like that.

I guess about as close to an update that exists is Cecil Shorts comments on his A few good minutes interview. Sexton straight up asked him if he has contact and if so how is he doing. Cecil stated he has not talked to him lately but understands he is "Doing very well".

There are a lot of gems in this thread, but this might be the worst. Hahahaha

Uhmmm, it was kinda supposed to be, chief....obviously the reference wooshed you.

Just an easy way to take a shot at the Jaguars. Yawn

The only way the team was being bashed was if Blackmon racks up large yardage on another team in 2015. Theres only one way for that to happen, sparky, and in that essence, any bashing would be earned. No bashing is being aimed their way immediately, tho. So you can settle down and rest easy.

So the Jaguars are stupid if....

Blackmon is released

Blackmon is reinstated for 2015

Blackmon signs with another team

Blackmon leads the league in receiving in 2015

Lets list out every nearly impossible scenario.

Yes.

Exactly. All 4 are unlikely, I agree.

But for the 4th one.....he doesn't even have to lead the league for me in that scenario....if the Jags cut him and he's a productive, 1000 yard+ receiver for another team in 2015 they will deserve to be bashed.

Point is - DON'T release him.

The team has said they have no plans to release him. So whats your point?

Quote:<div>Justin Blackmon's latest transgression won't end his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jaguars owner Shad Khan told reporters Thursday there is no reason his team should sever ties with the troubled wide receiver following his Wednesday-night arrest for driving under the influence.

"We want him to get help he needs," Khan said, according to Jaguars.com.

And if they stick to that, they'll get no bashing on this topic.

this news that the team will keep him is like a month old

Agreed.  If there were any updates on Blackmon worth discussing, we would have heard about it.  It's not like there's someone here with insight beyond what has been reported.
