Mallett to the Texans

I've said it before, I'll say it again, the texans fans are going to be gritting their teeth over Bortles for the next 15 years.

Clowney might be a great pass rusher, but QBs are what wins in the NFL, and the NFL is only doubling down on that every time they tweak the rules.

The colts fans are nervous, the texans fans are covering their fear with bravado, and the tacks are headed for mid 2000's Jaguars territory, where they think they're getting better only to find out they're headed into a long swoon of mediocrity.

LOL...So there will never be a another QB like Bortles huh? Guy hasn't even played his first game and you're crowning him king?

It's accepted that next years QB batch is going to be better than this years. If Houston has to give up the farm to get one of em I'm fine with that.

You act like the NFL is static. I can assure you it's not.

Every year next year's batch is supposed to be better.

Good QBs come out most years. Franchise guys a bit less, but they still come along pretty regularly. Elite QBs come out a few times a decade.

The 2011 QB draft was supposed to be great, at least that's what the talk was on sports radio around here when the 2010 QB draft was being maligned. Turns out the 2011 QB draft was headed by 3 busts and one #1 pick who hasn't lived up to his draft position yet.

Bortles is clearly going to be great, you haven't been watching him play plus you have cognitive dissonance due to the fact that he's a Jaguar anyway, so I wouldn't expect acknowledgement from you of what we've seen, but to anyone impartial watching it's been clear, he's another in the mold of Roethlisberger, Rodgers, and Luck.

Prove what? That everyone in the country is right and you're wrong? The preponderance of evidence clearly supports my my case.

If you want to argue that I'm not going to waste my time.

LOL...Clearly going to be great? Okee Dokey....I think I'll wait till he actually plays some football before I crown him king thanks.

Ding Ding Ding Ding!

Thats probably the #1 issue with a lot who post here.

The NFL is so fluent. Just because the Jags got Bortles means little in regards to other teams. They (others) can just as easily find a top QB next year. It doesn't mean that the Texans are automatically going to be scavenging the next 15 years.

I'm starting to get scared for Bortles chances of succeeding now, based on all of the hype from certain posters who also championed Gabbert. :ermm:

Considering how vacuous your post was, it didn't really require much in the way of fact to respond to your opinion.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Yes, it's so easy to find a top talent QB.  I mean, nobody ever misses.

The Texans have literally NEVER had a top tier QB.

And again, this is simply your opinion, and in the grand scheme of things, nobody knows what Bortles ceiling actually is.  Your opinion certainly won't impact that fact no matter how desperately you try to deflect away from the fact that your team has been pathetic in addressing the QB situation in Houston.

So, again I ask the question based on your opinion....so what?

Nothing quite as great at showing you to be a moronic troll than bringing up Gabbert again.

Don't you have a thread about how stupid the Jaguars are for not trading for Stephen Hill to post in?

As opposed to Mallett and Next year's draft QB's?

Then I'm not worried about Mallett turning into anything, based on all the hype from certain posters who also championed LeFevour.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

LeFevour could still pan out to be an elite QB given an opportunity.  He just didn't have the right coach, team, receivers, or line to take that leap.

Sounds like he's Henne, then. At least going by some of what I saw posted around here during the offseason.
