Quote:Don't forget Kolb! Pure robbery!!! Oh gawd thats right. I forgot about Kolb. Wow, they sure pull off some thefts. I remember Kolb was another QB I bashed from day 1. (like Carr). I'll be right in both instances. Quote:Oh gawd thats right. I forgot about Kolb. Wow, they sure pull off some thefts. It's not like other teams don't pull heists either. Rob Johnson. ![]()
Quote:It's not like other teams don't pull heists either. I agree. I hope we get back to that sort of thing. Granted it might not be to that level again, but at least some cashing in on some developed player excess.

Quote:He trolls this board for 16 hours a day to the count of 54,000 posts and then accuses people of stalking him When the same 5 or so people are doing nothing but following my posts around and trolling, thats stalking. Of course you won't agree with that because you have an agenda to begin with.
Quote:It's not like other teams don't pull heists either.Pats and Deion Branch, also the trading a 4th for Moss, then trading him for a 3rd round pick, in which he was a non factor after that. Makes you wonder why anyone would think Mallet is going to succeed in Houston. Quote:Pats and Deion Branch, also the trading a 4th for Moss, then trading him for a 3rd round pick, in which he was a non factor after that.Well, historically, QBs that have backed up Brady in New England have gone on to stellar careers elsewhere, right? Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Well, historically, QBs that have backed up Brady in New England have gone on to stellar careers elsewhere, right? the patriots are really good at inflating a qbs value and even they couldnt do that with mallett.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Agenda... like Trading Places? You can't just soil every thread on the board, claim it "yours," then cry foul when anyone dares clean up the mess. But that won't stop you from trying. Hint: they aren't visiting the thread for you, Carly. They're visiting the thread because of the topic. It's not other posters' fault that the pup isn't housebroken. But unfortunately, the mess you've made is what anyone sees when dropping in on a given topic.

Quote:the patriots are really good at inflating a qbs value and even they couldnt do that with mallett. That's a good point. There also seems to be a shift in QB planning. Teams seem to be getting their guy/making their decisions earlier. Even with some of the QB starved teams, right now is when most have already settled in for better or worse. Waiting around for more value (or whatever they were doing) from a team in need due to injury or whatever... doesn't seem to have worked.

Quote:Agenda... like Trading Places? Sometimes the responses I get are deserved, I'm man enough to get that. However, not all the time. I get a lot of complete nonsense aimed back at me ten-fold. As said, the people complaining about Alfie's crew being ruthless and a clique are hypocrites, because the same type of thing seems to happen here. Just change the names. This board can be branded group think just the same. Those that don't follow the clique's lead are ganged up on. Not sure if it's been touched on in this thread, but there's a report out there that the tinhorns tried to acquire Barkley before going after Mallett.
The synchronicity is baffling. http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2014/09...n-mallett/
As a Texan fan id like to see Mallett pan out but he probably won't. He's a better backup than Keenum for OB's offense. I've told others on the Texans message board that I still like Savage's potential, but he needs more developing.
In all likelihood, the Texans will draft Bryce Petty or Connor cook and have them compete with Savage next year. Or heck, maybe OB is hoping he can snag his boy Christian Hackenberg in 2016. As I've said I do think Bortles will be good, and I hope he is. That might sound dumb since I'm a Texans fan, but the fact is it's much more fun and rewarding to play in a division where each team is tough and competitive. Even I understand that it would have been more satisfying if we had won te division when Peyton was still playing for the Colts.

If the Texans are in position to draft Hackenberg in 2016, I'm guessing O'Brien won't be the coach

Quote:I'm starting to get scared for Bortles chances of succeeding now, based on all of the hype from certain posters who also championed Gabbert. :ermm: He may turn out to be fantastic. I've just seen to many QBs who were supposed to be the second coming of Dan Marino turn out to be Gabberts. At least he shows some promise. The Jags have had a long drought when it comes to QBs and you're about due for a good one.
Quote:Yes, it's so easy to find a top talent QB. I mean, nobody ever misses. And the Jags have?
Quote:Not sure if it's been touched on in this thread, but there's a report out there that the tinhorns tried to acquire Barkley before going after Mallett. It shows just how clueless their personnel department is when it comes to QBs. "Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?" |
