Prosinski

Quote:How did he make the final 53??
He's one of the best special-teamers on the roster. I'm no fan of the guy in the base defense, but I'll take a 6'1" 205-lb., 4.4 DB on special teams any day of the week. There's a reason he's third-string.

Hopefully he isn't starting next week or RG3 will be anointed comeback player of the year.

No pain, no gain.

Made a terrific play against the run, then one lapse of judgment that erased anything he could have done well all day.

I'd rather have the balanced player who can do both and not give up 6 points.

so we should cut Gratz cause of a metal mistake when he missed his assignment and let Det rip off a 80 yard run>?

mistakes happen, we expect a third string safty to do his job, but we cannot expect him to perform as good as the second string or starter.

if henne goes down, then BB goes down, we have morris in at QB do you expect to win every game or expect him to make some mistakes>?

The problem is Prosinski has always been a liability in coverage and he's been in the league for some time. Dude was a 4th round pick. Being a safety is being the last line of defense to the endzone and being able to adjust. He is not able to do that plain and simple, regardless of how decent he is on special teams, his primary role should be a high priority. As a safety he sucks and has no business trying to cover anyone. I'm sure our special teams could survive with the departing of Mr. Prosinski.

Might as well just blitz him every single time he's on the field.

Which he does every time he's playing safety. He always flashes on a play and then immediately blows the game on the next.

Honestly, he's on the roster as a special teams guy. He's a liability in any other capacity.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

We gave up two long TDs on what appeared to be blown assignments by backup defenders.   Specifically, Prosinski and Reynolds.  On the long TD pass, Prosinski wasn't within 20 yards of where he should have been, and the Eagles ran right at Reynolds, who appeared to take the wrong gap and got stuck on a block.  Those are two backup players who blew plays that resulted in long touchdowns.

This is inexcusable considering those guys were on the team last year and ought to know their assignments.  All those guys were asked to do was fill in a few plays when a starter got dinged up.

I wonder if the Eagles saw them in there and ran plays that specifically targeted them.

Edit: sorry, it was J. T. Thomas, not Reynolds, filling in for Poz.

This is all explained a whole lot better Ryan O'Halloran.

Two points to that. One is something I remember Dave Campo (was it Dave Campo?) saying on Hard Knocks: "Do you play free safety? I've already got a free safety; his name is Darren Woodson, so if you play free safety, you'd better be great on special teams."

The second is that the Jaguars have, historically, kept a misfit-type around because he excels on special teams. Sorenson, Chad Nkang, Montell Owens (who was admittedly good when he finally got a chance on offense), Kassim Osgood, and now Pros. You can't load your roster up with those guys, but it usually pays to have one or two aces in coverage.

I honestly think Branch would do a better job at safety.

Prosinski does not have the reaction time or the lateral movement to complement his 40 yard dash capabilities.

next year is the final (drastic) year of the rebuilding process so we'll see Prosinski on the University of Wyoming coaching staff in 2015.

Y'all do know Proz is not Cyps back up right?. Josh Evans is. He went out with a minor injury and the only safty left was proz. I'm sure is Evans is ok he will be starting and he is a starting caliber Safty.

Evans is garbage. Guy is decent. Cyp is a a stud and without him, our secondary is in trouble.
