I know the rankings are meaningless but I can't figure out why South Carolina would be ahead of Missouri.

Not sure I agree that Clemson deserves #3. I would switch Florida State and Clemson on that list.

If Clemson goes, it will be because they are undefeated. That means they would have beaten Georgia, FSU, Miami and South Carolina.

brutal stretch, maybe theyll deserve it after all, that is if they run the table, though i see them losing two of those games.

Clemson is legit. As someone else said, if they make it to the championship game, it'll be well deserved. Ohio State, however, are frauds.

I think they lose this weekend probably. But if they beat FSU, I don't see anybody beating them until South Carolina the last weekend.

Clemson needed Georgia to remain undefeated. Would have helped them out in the long run.

If they win out, they'll be no lower than 3rd, no matter what Georgia does/did.

NCAA sucks this year, thank goodness Matt Jones is out though so I can see what Kelvin Taylor has for the Gators for the rest of the year to get ready for next years domination.

So out of the National title. Awesome. I am sure they're cool with that.

Would suck. As an FSU fan, just praying Oregon drops one.

Not because of Georgia. But because of Alabama and Oregon. Georgia could have won out and unless those two teams lose a game, nobody else has a shot.

I just hope we don't see a deserving undefeated team not get a chance just because of preseason rankings.  Normally I would love for a team to get screwed over (unless it is FSU of course) just to keep building the pressure for a playoff system, but we are already going to that next year.

It's all about SOS. If Georgia had won out, Clemson wins out, they have a shot at top 2. That shot is completely gone after Georgia lost. Every little bit counts.

The Harris Poll which gets factored into the BCS computer rankings has Clemson less than 150 points behind Oregon right now. That is pre FSU. With a Win there, that jumps. It is even less, or even better right now with a one loss Georgia team to Clemson themselves.

They don't play Miami... Unless you're talking about the acc title game.

I still don't get how a team like TAMU BARELY wins that game and moves up 2 spots.
