The Jags want Henne to be more explosive minded per the FTU
|
... Just another sign that this organization has made tremendous progress in getting better. Last year at this time we were confirming once again that Gabbert was terrible and were calling for Gus to put Henne in !! The best scenario is to win 10-7 this week.
Blake will start Game 3 vs. Indy. This would be the perfect time since Indy does not have a good D. Season could be salvaged. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:You're also not in the meeting rooms, or attending practices, right? It's not that I think I know better than the coaches, I just don't buy the excuse that they're waiting until "he's ready". I just think it likely has more to do with when the players around him are ready. I just have a hard time believing that he's going to show something in practice, and all of the sudden, the coaches know he's ready to start. Quote:He's a rookie. He's going to make rookie mistakes. Peyton Manning made rookie mistakes. I hope that's not the reason they're holding him back for now. The other reason (not knowing the playbook) would be a more plausible reason. Whatever happens, I think most of us will be disappointed if we don't see Bortles by game 9.Then you're forced to rush him along which is the last thing they want to do. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Washington has an awful D, so this would be a good week for him to start. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

You sure act like you have better insight than the coaches, so I'm assuming so. You're implying it. Because I'm not with Blake every second of his life doesn't mean that I can't see he's good enough to play now. He showed that in the offseason. He's a gamer, CSIII even called him that. I find it hard to believe he isn't capable of learning on the fly. I find it hard to believe that he won't be as good of a QB down the road if he plays right now. How am I complaining? By offering my opinion? If that's the case just shut this place down, no need for it. Quote:Washington has an awful D, so this would be a good week for him to start.Yes, because God knows if Henne starts and has a good game, you and the others here will do anything you can to nitpick the performance. Setting it up already to dismiss a good performance vs. a bad defense. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:You're implying it.I'm not implying anything other than we have no choice but to trust the process. I've never said the coaches are right, but if you look at the progress Bortles has made with his mechanics, it's pretty clear their strategy to keep as much pressure off him as possible has been a benefit for him. If they're right about that, maybe they know what they're doing by keeping him out? Nah, that couldn't be. Let's run the team by message board polls. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Setting it up already to dismiss a good performance vs. a bad defense. Henne having a good game against a bad defense is anything but automatic. We show less advertisements to registered users. He pretty much said Monday night he'd start Bortles but it is not his call.Boselli said Henne played real well Sunday. If that aint fawning or blatantly lying. We didnt score again after 14:14 of the 2nd quarter. That's not playing real well.

They threatened to pull he and Angie's Turner Pest Control ads if he didn't abide to the John Oesher "Yes Man" rules. Quote:Henne having a good game against a bad defense is anything but automatic. Boom! I'll give them one more week to double-check whatever it is they are double-checking, but after that let's not draw this out any further than it needs to.
While this may be a good game for Blake to start (because of the Redskins average D), I prefer him starting at home to avoid fan noise and communication problems at the line.

Quote:They threatened to pull he and Angie's Turner Pest Control ads if he didn't abide to the John Oesher "Yes Man" rules.I knew it was a catch cause hearing that come out his mouth was laughable. Quote:Yawn. This argument has zero tread left on the tires. Nobody is expecting Henne to become a top tier QB.They are getting the max out of Chad Henne. What other level are you waiting for him to go to? If he plays he plays we can't do nothing about that but it lowers my expectations on the future with Gus Bradley as the coach. But you're maxed out with Henne at this point.
all i know is, if bortles isn't starting by the home opener it's gonna be a long game for the team and coaching staff. if you think it's jut people on this board who have a problem with out QB situation, then you haven't been paying attention. if you were on twitter during the game, you would have witnessed the flurry of anti henne tweets that were there. every sports radio station talking about the jaguars has many people hating henne. when they get home there willbe boos echoing throughout the stadium. the owner won't like that one bit. plus henne will continue to be henne thus making there case for starting him all the more difficult to explain to any rational human being. i get i don't come to practices to see whats going down, but i did see the preseason. the coaching staff has also said they don't need to dumb down the playbook for him either. it's time to get the henne experiment over with and move on.
Quote:The pass blocking was immaculate on Sunday. The running game will come once teams respect the pass(er). Exactly. Running the football becomes a lot easier when defenses fear the opposing qb. It's why moreno had so much success last year. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Remember in Back to School when Chas faked a cramp to get out of the dive meet? Any odds of Henne doing the same?

Quote: All Jags fans want this. I'm sure Miami fans wanted it too when he played there. You will be waiting a very long time if you expect CH to do this for an entire game.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
I think they are slowly introducing the idea of putting Bortles in, sooner, than later. There is no way Henne is going to throw the rock downfield. It will end up intercepted or no where near the receiver. Hurns bailed out Henne last week.
