Sorry about your wife's aunt Rico. It sucks. Not sure how close you are to her yourself ( the wife's aunt not wife) but my wife's mom just the other day found out she had pancreatic cancer. So ma-in law and wife have ( expectedly) been pretty upset. I feel your pain and wish you and your family nothing but the best, my brother.

Got a great opportunity just placed in my lap today. Not to mention I'm in the process of updating my website. Between the two, it gives me a great opportunity to, not only create more business but also, capitalize on my previous endeavors. The new bid ( huge contract that would increase revenue about 32% ) plus the ongoing updating of my website, which would increase more traffic to site, look more up to dat/professional add more business along with my combining the two and adding my fellow friends in relevant ( yet not similar) industries) could potentially take my business above and beyond what I have originally expected. Sure it's doing great now ( because, after all, you should all know I'm a freaking genius) but it's offering up a great opportunity to expand waaay farther than I ever imagined.



Should I start looking for an upgrade to my cardboard box? Maybe, we'll see.

Hasn't come to fruition yet, I've still got to do my part and impress the decision makers on the current job and talk a few other businesses into what I'm thinking. But it's looking pretty solid. I don't like working night shift. It feels like life goes on without me and I just play catch up all the time. That and no one is ever online at 4 in the morning (EST, of course).

 

Then again, the overtime is nice.

I had a couple of Egg McMuffins on the way in this morning. That is so out of the norm for me. I usually walk my 5.2 miles and eat a bowl of cereal.


Why is it that something as crappy as that can taste so good sometimes? Maybe it's that 'I know I shouldn't have done it factor'....living on the edge and all.
