Week 3 Games Of Interest

#41

Did anyone watch any of the Arkansas - Texas Tech game?  The Hogs lived up to their name and ran for over 400 yards and 7 TDs!!!    They only attempted two passes in the second half.  And one of those two was the first play of the second half.  So they essentially played the entire second half with one pass play.  It reminded me of some of those old Oilers with Eddie George when they'd run and run and run.

With all these teams out there standing back in the shotgun and throwing it every play, I kind of enjoy seeing a team like Arkansas just physically dominate and run teams over.

The SEC West is just totally stacked.

At first, he looked short.

I feel a little bad for the kicker. That was awful.

They both are terrible. Texas Tech should be embarrassed by what happened to them today.

On a side note, BC is hanging with USC.

Rough day for the Big10 again...

Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, and Maryland all lost out of conference games.  And Purdue will probably be added to that list before the evening is done.  Admittedly though all these, except for Indiana, were games against other major conference opponents... even if they are at the bottom of their conference.  Its not as though they are losing to IAA teams or anything.

And Penn St, who instantly became the Big10 favorite after everyone else loss last week is having their hands full with Rutgers.  Down 10 in the 4th.

Imagine Rutgers winning the Big Ten and going to the Rose Bowl.

^^^ I don't think there is any way Rutgers can beat out Mich St or Ohio St

well looks like Rutgers is going to blow it.

Boston College just upset USC.  Ex-Gator Tyler Murphy leads BC to a title.

holy crap... I just looked at the BC box score.  Tyler Murphy was 5-13 for 54 yards and 1 INT.  But BC ran for 450 yards and 5 TDs.  Almost like the Arkansas game.  Murphy ran for 191 of those yards.  Had never thought of him as a running QB.

Especially against Auburn. They messed with the wrong team when they came to Auburn. The Tigers play that run game pretty good.

If you are a Arkansas fan they will be good by the end of the year. Right now they are working on their defense.

Did anyone else think Flo/rida was lucky not to have the first overtime touchdown negated by a delay of game penalty? It was clear the play clock went down to all zeroes before the snap.

What made no sense to me was the pass interference penalty at the other end. It happened in the end zone, so why didn't Florida get the ball at the 2-yard line?

The SEC Network showed an overhead shot of the measurement. The studio host even asked, "Are you kidding me?" while looking at how the ball touched the stick.
