Not sack related, but the INT was awful...he stared that guy down from the snap.

Quote:Not sack related, but the INT was awful...he stared that guy down from the snap. Jeff Driskel from the Gators has stared down a ton of WR's so far this year, and even he stares them down less than Henne. I'm admitting to being an armchair head coach at this point in saying, what in the hell is Bradley thinking at this point. Bortles clearly worked through his reads, he was really good at getting out of pressure, not to mention he has the frame (UNLIKE DAVID CARR FOR HOUSTON) to take multiple hits. I mean what in the hell are they worried about? He's not some 6'0'' 195 lb dual threat college QB... he's like a Big Ben type frame. HE CAN TAKE HITS!

Quote:9 was on Henne big time. Ran right into it Quote:10 was just dreadful....100% on Henne These last two made me cringe. They 100% reminded me of Blaine Gabbert.
I count 4 of the 10 that were 100% line related thar no QB in the league probably could have escaped from.
Quote:These last two made me cringe. They 100% reminded me of Blaine Gabbert. The sad thing is, I don't remember Henne acting like Gabbert as in sacking himself a lot last year. He made a lot of boneheaded decisions, but it's like he's trying to throw himself out of the game at his point in time. I don't know. I haven't understood Jaguar football in over a decade (except for 2007) so who knows.

Outside of sacks 2, 3, 4, and 7, I challenge any Henne homers to debate the other ones... By no means an I defending the line. They are dreadful.
Plus he had the one near the end where just just faceplanted into the ground and sacked himself, but I believe there was a penalty on the play. The Redskins were able to basically blitz every play as Henne was just holding the ball for an eternity every play and there was no downfield threat. Yes the OLine isnt good, but you have to adapt to the situation. Get the ball out quicker, and stop running the same plays that havent worked. Also what annoyed me yesterday, was why doesnt Henne ever throw the ball away. Why does he just take a sack.
As mentioned previously the INT was rediculous as the entire world could see who Henne was going to throw to from the second the ball was snapped. The throw to, I think it was, Lee when he was in triple coverage was an even worse throw and should have been picked. Not playing Bortles because he might get injured is rediculous. Its like saying if you own a Ferrari and a Fiat Punto you'd drive the Punto on the off chance that you might crash the Ferrari.
Washington was blitzing Henne at every play and he was unable to make them pay for it or adjust protection. I saw 6 Washington rushers for half of the snaps.
This line has gotten throttled two weeks in a row. Its like they all watched tape of the '93 Cowboys O-line and tried to do the opposite of everything they did.
Only a chump boos the home team!

Zane Beadles magically looked much better with Manning throwing the ball
are you people not thinking what the real issue is?

Quote:8th on Henne....he was so bad on that one. What I saw was a guy who can't read a defense. I sat there on the 8th or 9th sack saw 56 on the left side with no one on him and he never once changed the play or acknowledged the guy there. SO what did he do he hicks it rolls back with his back turned and the guy jumps on him like the monkey boy from saturday night live. The guy has no awareness what so ever.
Quote:I can't remember ever watching a football game that featured an o-line this horrible. Ever. It's the worst I've ever seen. That is no exaggeration. |
