It's Not All On The OL..Keep Telling You Guys
|
Quote:In the play, Hennie has literially two seconds before getting flushed to his left, probably 1.5 of those seconds he's going through his primary reads to the left. Now there are a very few QBs who could throw to a comeback route to the right while running hard to left and under that kind of pressure, but not many. The ones that *could* do it are going to get picked by the opposite side DB as often as not. If you want to critique the guy for not making *that* play than be my guest, but I'd say your expectations are pretty unreasonable. I don't think this is an unreasonable play/throw for good QB to make, and that's the problem, Chad isn't very good. He has slow eyes and is inaccurate. Quote:A good QB recognizes the coverage and had already thrown the ball to the guy running the outside curl in the lower half of that screenshot. Yes, because games are played in screen shots. Watch the actual video of that play and get back to me. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:A good QB recognizes the coverage and had already thrown the ball to the guy running the outside curl in the lower half of that screenshot.this^ He wasn't wide open but a decent qb can make that throw, Bortles could of made the throw Quote:You do realize there's not a single wide receiver open in that screen cap, right? Are you serious there appears to be a tight end at the bottom of the screen that may be open can't tell because of screen shot. The receiver at the 30 mark is definitely open if the ball is dropped in over his left shoulder. Quote:Please don't try to interpret what I or others here think. It's clear you don't have the capacity to do so, and all you're doing is embarrassing yourself. the only thing that is clear, brother, is that you don't understand the NFL. but that's okay, man. Quote:Yes, because games are played in screen shots. Watch the actual video of that play and get back to me. They're obviously not, but these are the same screen shots offensive coordinators/quarterback coaches and the QB look at on the sidelines between possesions, so there is obviously value here. Quote:the only thing that is clear, brother, is that you don't understand the NFL. but that's okay, man. What's clear is you can't back up your claims by posting vid clips of the play. The only way you can prop up your weak minded agenda is to use screen caps. That way you can freeze it at one specific point in time and not actually show the full context of the play. That's what simpletons do. Congrats. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Congrats.its' okay that you don't understand how the NFL works and what qualifies as an open receiver and adequate OL play. it's okay man, none of us know everything. OCs and QBs look at screen grabs from CBS? Really? I'm fairly certain their captures are a lot more indicative of what actually transpires on a play in order to break them down. Quote:BOOMMMMMMMMMMYeah, this is the kind of response I'd expect from someone of your ilk. It's the next best thing to stomping your foot on the ground to keep count. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:It's not all the OL. It's not all Henne. Both are part of the problem. You don't know anything about the NFL then. That kind of thinking proves it. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Let's be honest... Henne isn't good and has never been able to dissect a defense or read coverages well. Henne isn't a great QB no, not close. Is he good? On a good team, he could perform reasonably. Contrary to what you said, he can read defenses and identify coverages competently which is one of the reasons he's starting over Bortles right now when Bortles is obviously much more physically gifted.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Quote:Yes, because games are played in screen shots. Watch the actual video of that play and get back to me. I didn't say the games are played in screen shots, I said it's clear from that screenshot that a good QB that can recognize coverages and has a good arm would have recognized where the throw was to be made and would have made it. I expect once Bortles is in and seasoned he'll be recognizing the right throws to make and pretty soon teams will be on their heels covering the Jaguars receivers and the pass rush and run defense will suddenly be a lot less effective against the Jaguars. The reason the Jaguars are bad is because Henne is bad. When teams play against a team with a bad QB they play with confidence and decisiveness. Sure they gave up the long pass to Marcedes, but that's a once a game kind of thing. They'll gladly give up one TD to play aggressively against a guy who almost never realizes where the throw needs to go. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I'm not sure how anyone can objectively look at this screenshot and come to the conclusion of the receiver not being open, it's obvious. Now I'm not a person that cherry picks a couple of would've/could've's from a 60 minute football game, there are a lot of mitigating factors, but this one is pretty obvious. whoa, just noticed FBT is an administrator and he's insulting posters like this.
thats kinda sad |
