it always goes back to the QB, don't care how you spin it

 

Well sometimes a guy does run free, an athletic QB might still make a play of it, but I don't expect Henne to.

 

The best you could expect from Henne is he knows what he's looking at defensively and makes the correct throw decisively at the depth of his drop, which he didn't do.

 

FBT is obsessed with what happened with the rush on this play, but that's not really relevant. Sure bad QBs get caught up staring at the rush, it's why guys like Henne and Gabbert are so bad.

 

A good QB makes the right throw here, a great QB somehow makes that pocket work, steps up, and hits a guy breaking down the field.

 

Either way Henne is bad, he's the problem, and that's the way the NFL wants it.

 

Get a good QB or be terrible.

Yeah, I've been watching NFL football for more than 30 years.  I understand the expectations.  I also am smart enough to recognize that Chad Henne isn't a top tier QB and that while he is the current starter, he has deficiencies.  What you clearly don't grasp is that while Henne is not a top shelf QB, he is the better option right now to be on the field as far as the coaching staff is concerned.  Based on how poorly the line has played, I can't say as I blame them.

I don't think it's that simple. I think a top 10 QB would definitely help this team but it wouldn't turn them into contenders or even competitive until the defense can get the coverage issues sorted out and the OL can gel and at least play competently. Same for the reciever corps. There are a lot of holes on this team right now.

 

Again, you don't have a clue what you're talking about.  It's not the line.  It's not the defense.  Clearly, for the non-thinking fan, it's all about Henne.  Get with the program.

Come on Man! your saying that through his entire career he has never been on a good enough team to have a winning record! As I posted earlier only three games last year did he score over twenty points, twenty points!

Look at the guys career. He's been on bad teams and has constantly had to learn new systems. A great QB might overcome that sure but we've established already that he's more suited to be a backup.

And you seem to think someone here is suggesting Henne is a good QB.  He's not.  Nobody has said anything of the sort.  Keep trying though.  As long as you can focus on the screen cap and not actually watch the play, you're giving rocdee warm and fuzzy feelings inside.

I didn't say a top 10 QB makes us contenders or even winners, I said he makes the Jaguars competitive, and one would.

 

Right now, the Jaguars are only competitive with other total bottom feeders.

Evidently, recognizing that the team is losing for a variety of reasons, Henne being just ONE component, is somehow going all in for Henne in that pea brain of yours.

This is my sentiment as well, the Jaguars obviously have issues all over the board, but when you're QB is bad, that's the most important entity.
